I believe that’s the reason Arkham Jason went hunting for Joker alone and why he ended up being caught, it was his breaking point with Joker and couldn’t let him get away anymore.

I also want to say Arkham Joker also switched holy water for acid at some babies’ baptisms too, I seem to remember some dialogue about that from Arkham Knight.

I also love the “blink and you’ll miss it” shots of Father when the ice alchemist activates his transmutation circle. It’s a very brief, and therefore, forgettable moment because of everything else going on, and unless you have a good memory you won’t remember it even when they reveal the twist. It was only on my first rewatch that I caught it again and realise it was Father reacting because it was directly threatening his plans.

I remember right from when they first released the teaser silhouette image of him there were already people saying it was going to be Red Hood. And then even more when they revealed the character design, people took it as confirmation, it was a “new” character but Rocksteady’s version of Red Hood’s origin. Didn’t take too long for people to then start making by edits of AK with his Red Hood helmet.

You are the people from the Left?

I don’t think we’ll get a trilogy with this Batman, it’s taken too long for just this sequel and I think it’s the reason Gunn hasn’t been able to introduce his Batman in the DCU. For some context, the time between Part I & II’s release is currently two weeks under 6 years, applying the same time from Batman Begins’ release, Nolan was several weeks into filming Dark Knight Rises (and that was filming Prestige & Inception in between the trilogy too). I think after this they’ll all want to move on, after how long it took for just one sequel, Reeves onto something else to concentrate on his personal circumstances, Pattinson to other roles and Gunn finally having the chance to introduce his DCU’s Batman without worrying about two Batmen films confusing audiences.

A friend pushed me into giving it another go early in the year (I’d given up during the pacing in Usopp’s intro arc) but I pushed through and by Arlong Park I was invested in it and then hooked by Alabasta, so I’m glad I gave it another go and started it.

I think that was many with Batman and Robin, they started designing things with toys in mind before the actual story. It’s why the Batmobile is a single seater and Robin has his own bike, Freeze’s ice tank, so they could sell more individual toys. Batman Forever was still the transition period from Returns to B&R, but still had some “toyetic” designs, like new Batmobile, new Batsuit and Robin, Two-Face’s car, Batwing and Batboat.

Similar to what others said about CP-3O in VII, they simply gave him a red arm not to add any character to him, or to show he’d been through things since VI, but simply so they’d have a way to sell new toy figures to collectors/SW fans, knowing there will be people who would by the figures because they’re new.

Riddler is exactly the sort of character to still think his riddles take propriety over Gotham being drowned with Fear toxin.

Andrew Garfield was a great Peter Parker/Spider-Man who was just unlucky with the quality of writing his films had. Had they actually put in more effort, and maybe listen to Kevin Feige’s inputs, they may have made his version the MCU’s Spidey, as they were very close to adding Stark Tower in 2.

They were planning an actual sequel film where Helga survived and was going to be the main villain, she was going to be a gas-mask wearing character whose identity is later revealed but they scrapped that. The second film we actually got was the remnants of a planned series that they cancelled and squashed the episodes they already had together into a loosely connected film. Similar to what they did with Moana 2 I guess.

Levi doesn’t even need to use the bathroom, he is waiting there solely to clean up after Hange.

I don’t know about others but I’m of the mind that there’s three “personas” to the character, there’s “Batman”, the public “Bruce Wayne” that he puts on: the billionaire philanthropist who puts on the act to discourage anyone working out he’s Batman and there’s the real “Bruce Wayne”, the more vulnerable and honest Bruce that people like Alfred, his Bat Family or others who know his secret identity are familiar with. Someone who deep down is still the frightened little boy in Crime Alley who never grew up.

I watch everything with subtitles, have done for at least several years now, and it really helps with remembering character names, especially with fantasy or sci-fi shows that have weird or uncommon names. Once you see how the names are spelt, it’s easier to remember them and then know who characters are talking about if they only mention a character by name when they’re not in the scene.

comrade_batman

You get that in history, names that don’t really make sense when looked at properly, like the Hundred Years’ War was actually 116 years, and it wasn’t continuous but in three phases split up by separate treaties), the “English Civil War” (Roundheads vs Cavaliers) was far from the first English civil war (and I’ve seen historians use the term “War of Three Kingdoms” to encompass the conflicts in that period), the Fourth “Crusade” ended up being an attack on Constantinople and not the Holy Land which led to many excommunications.

Pattinson’s Batman was still growing and learning in the film, it’s only in his version’s year two, you can tell he’s never used the glider suit when he jumped off GCPD, his Batmobile is a very early model, he doesn’t grow into a symbol of hope for people by the end, that’s why he makes mistakes.

Even his Bruce Wayne, he’s still caught up in being a full of crusader of vengeance, and hasn’t yet reconciled with what happened, and hasn’t the charismatic, philanthropic Bruce persona to counter any suspicions he’s Batman. He’s like Origins’ Batman, on his journey, discovering what and who the Batman is and how to improve being Batman.
