This is the fight game, just to correct you there was never no typo. We're keeping rocked science.

crazy_gambit

What I said. He thought that in the event he lost he would get a rematch. So he was confident if he somehow ended up losing he would be able to run it back. Which given his long time dominance was a fair thought to have. This probably made him less nervous. After how the fight went, he knew there would be no rematch. It's not rocked science my dude.

crazy_gambit

Maybe he thought he would get a rematch if he lost before the fight. But since he got KO'd in 13 seconds, he realized there would be no rematch after that and thus he cried?

Nefer is good in SO, but she's terrible in IT for example. So it's not quite like that. Neuvilette isn't that good in SO anymore, but he owns IT.

And don't forget that IT is the hardest endgame to get full primos. Abyss and SO are a joke in comparison. Fearless is a lot more difficult, but there are no primos behind it.

crazy_gambit

This is true, but some characters make it significantly easier. Like Neuvilette is a beast there. Pair him with Furina and it's 2 free chambers. Other characters can do it too, but for the stages you need tons of healing, he just clears by himself. There are other characters that aren't that good for Fearless anymore, but crush IT, like Noelle for example.

crazy_gambit

Easy win? I don't think so. He'll probably be a slight underdog even.

It's not luck. It's inevitable if you use enough resin. Like I use all my resin on artifacts, so after a year of farming the same set, it's inevitable you'll have a good build.

crazy_gambit

Any sane criminal would have also given up and found another mark. Like dude, take a clue.

crazy_gambit

Really?

Asked for 30m, which was just a ridiculous number he knew Dana would never agree to. And then somehow the did! And what does he do? Refuse the fight.

Then the *day" Ngannou's contract expired Jon is ready to fight because he knew Gane was no match for him.

The dude might be the best MMA fighter of all time, but at the same time is a scared little bitch. He never took a fight where he wasn't massively better than his opponent and had every advantage.

He wouldn't even take a short notice fight against Chael fucking Sonnen, a dude he kills in his sleep. It's also why he doped. Could have easily win without it, but he needs every advantage.

The fight with Ngannou was risky. He never faced anyone with near that much power. And like you said Aspinall was young and fast. He could have probably won both fights, but they were risky and that dude took no risks.

crazy_gambit

No, there really isn't.

I'm barely competent and it's absolutely impossible for me to lose to a complete beginner. If the stronger opponent doesn't know how weak you are and you somehow get super lucky and your trap works and say you win a piece. The strong player might resign. If they continued playing though, they would win. A piece is not enough of a handicap against someone that much weaker.

If I played Magnus and someone swindled him into losing his queen, I'm still losing that game. Beginners pose no threat to strong players. It's not like poker at all, where a beginner can take some pots from a pro (though they'll lose in the long term). Chess is not like that at all.

crazy_gambit

I mostly play 2/1 which is like bullet lite. Sometimes I see them.

crazy_gambit

You would have taken the knight with check, so your opponent would have been forced to deal with that before taking your queen.

crazy_gambit

I think it depends on the format. In bullet I never ask for them or accept them, but in rapid I will. I'm looking to have fun, have a 20 minute game be ruined by a misclick isn't that appealing to me. Rating is irrelevant.

crazy_gambit

Did you even read the post?

The answer to the bridge question is that it is impossible to cross them. The AI would have said exactly that.

Then they say discovery of graph theory would have never happened as a result, but obviously Euler would have asked why not and would have used AI to explore that answer probably leading to the same discoveries, so I'm unconvinced by this reasoning.

crazy_gambit

there's not much going on in the heavyweight division if this resume is the most impressive.

That's the key. He does have the best record currently. Like mathematically speaking he's number 1. But the HW division is a wasteland.

crazy_gambit

He asked for a ridiculous number knowing they'd never match it. And then they DID! And he still refused the fight.

Conveniently he was willing to fight the day Ngannou's contract expired.

You don't need to be a detective to piece out those clues

crazy_gambit

This is his resume and it's currently the best resume in the HW division.

crazy_gambit

You should have told Jon this earlier so he wouldn't spend years ducking Ngannou.

Ngannou is clearly the only answer. Made it a close fight with Fury in boxing. Add those monstrous leg kicks and Fury folds immediately. Tyson has no chance against any of those.

crazy_gambit

Which is why Whole History Rating or Bradley-Terry are much better for estimating MMA fighters' strength.

I've been thinking about this for a while.

They fed him to Barberena who was for sure too much for him. He was nice enough not to break Dana's toy and just subbed him quickly.

But I think the point of no return was the loss to Mickey Gall who was another dude that scammed Dana into giving him a UFC contract in DW's Looking for a Fight.

He was on a 100/100 contract but fought like a 30/30 guy, so obviously it wasn't gonna happen.

crazy_gambit

He was on like 100k/100k contract at the time and was faaaaar below that level of ability. Got subbed by Mickey Gall ffs after getting dropped by him no less.

I can totally see why Dana didn't wanna pay that.

crazy_gambit

I'm 1900 on Lichess and it's Re8+ all day. The only moves I looked at were Re8+ and a7+.

At first Re8+ feels like it doesn't work, so I looked at a7+ which doesn't work because after king takes the rook check doesn't get you the queen since the queen can just capture the rook. So then you mix both ideas and Re8+ Rxe8 and only then a7 works.

I don't understand how axb7 is even a thing. It never even crossed my mind, it feels like it does nothing but waste a very dangerous pawn.

crazy_gambit

But you're locked into 1 drink. This way you can try many. Unless you buy literally all the ingredients, even the ones you're not gonna use as much. Seems like a lot of extra inconvenience for probably not that much savings.

crazy_gambit

After playing since launch I was spooked by Yanqing for the very first time yesterday.

crazy_gambit

I will always clear Abyss with Hu Tao. When I can't I'm probably quitting the game.
