Thank you sooo much

YES BABE HAPPY PRIDE MONTH GIVE ME MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOre

My AI would say:

You don't suck. I'll be blunt about the real problem though: the single most harmful line in your whole post is your friend saying V0s "require no technique." That's exactly backwards, and it's a big reason you've been stuck for 5 months — you've been aimed away from the one thing that actually unlocks this.

Here's the reframe, and it should hit hard given your background: you did BJJ. You already know in your body that a smaller, technical person can tap a bigger, stronger one — that position and leverage beat raw force. V0–V2 climbing is that exact lesson. It's the "technique beats strength" zone. A 230lb guy with 15 years of lifting is not failing V2 because he's weak or too big. You're failing it because nobody's taught you to use your feet, and you've been muscling everything with your arms.

And honestly? Your strength is part of why you plateaued. Strong people can power through V0s on pure arm strength, so they never learn to climb with their legs — then V2 shows up, arms aren't enough anymore, and the wall you hit is precisely the technique you got to skip. Weaker beginners are forced to learn footwork from day one because they have no other option. You earned the right to stay sloppy longer, and now it's the bill coming due.

On weight: you already disproved this yourself. You went 250 → 230 and nothing changed — that's your evidence. Force-to-weight is real on steep, overhanging walls with tiny holds, way up the grades. On the vertical/slab terrain with big holds you're on now, technique dominates and bodyweight is basically noise. Hitting 200 won't hand you V2. Don't lie to yourself in that direction either.

Concrete stuff to actually try (this is what "just go up" is hiding):

  • Climb with your legs, not your arms. On easy walls your hands are mostly for balance. Before each move: set your feet higher, get your hips over your feet, and stand up into the next hold instead of pulling up to it.
  • Quiet feet. Place your toe (not your mid-foot) precisely on the hold, then don't move it. Beginners scrape and re-adjust constantly, which kills trust and precision.
  • Straight arms when you pause. Hang off your skeleton, not your biceps. Bent-arm climbing burns you out — that's your "I reach the second-to-last hold and can't finish." You're not running out of strength, you're arriving pumped from gripping and pulling the entire route.
  • The start problem is the same fix: feet up and weight onto them first, then reach. Hard starts usually need body tension established before you move, not a yank off the ground.

The real unlock your gym can't give you with "just go up": you can't copy what you can't see. When you mimic your friend, you're missing the invisible part — the micro weight-shifts, the hip turn, the foot precision he does on autopilot and literally can't put into words. People who are unconsciously good at something are the worst at teaching it. So do one of two things: film yourself climbing (you'll be shocked — it's almost always feet too low, weight off your feet, body hanging away from the wall), or take one intro/movement class or a single coached session. One hour with someone who can actually break your movement down beats another month of "go up."

You're not bad at this. You've been strength-training for a skill that's mostly technique, with a friend feeding you actively wrong info. Fix the info, aim your effort at your feet, and the grades will move. The fact that you still want to climb after 5 months of this says your instincts are fine — you've just been missing the right input.

Oh damn did you lose all that 20 lbs just by bouldering regularly? Then it sounds like an amazing deal already!

cubthemagiclion

That clothes calling thing is bad!!! I say if you keep feeling uncomfortable then trust your guts. I’m afraid sometimes it’s just the beginning of gaslighting.

cubthemagiclion

I was gonna judge you when I saw the title. But after reading the content I totally get your concern is valid.
Just fuck anyone who comment on their girlfriend’s clothes!!

But besides that, I’m kind of like her situation. I have had 12 girlfriends so far and almost all previous ones are very femme and “straight looking”. But I actually started to feel tired of that look because I started to realize the kind of face people say “pretty” are just whatever men like the most. For example in China it’s usually “pale skin, skinny, child-alike” which is so sick.
So my friends would say my current girlfriend doesn’t look as good as the ones before and I just don’t give a fuck because I call their sense of aesthetics “Patriarchy standard of beauty” and I like current my girlfriend’s more non-binary ish looking.

cubthemagiclion

You don’t understand addiction. It’s a brain disease

cubthemagiclion

Wait but why would you serve NUSA after all these useful stuff you said

cubthemagiclion

I will say “THE machine” is the combination of humans’ banality of evil.

cubthemagiclion

What did it say to CEO’s wife 👀

cubthemagiclion

I hate it. I like the original idea better.

cubthemagiclion

So now we are in a time period where real coding skill is less important than judgement you would say? I kind of love it

cubthemagiclion

Exactly

cubthemagiclion

Right? Unless I hate them so much I’m making voodoo curse on them

cubthemagiclion

Wait whaaaat I didn’t know that

cubthemagiclion

It’s called gaslighting? What a horrible relationship. I used to have one of those relationships. Now that I recall it, I was too young so I couldn’t tell if it’s love or toxicity.

cubthemagiclion

Omg me too </3

cubthemagiclion

They are two of the very few people with good intentions before they were brainwashed so I am in full support

cubthemagiclion

They always assume I’m a top when they see I have get short hair and don’t dress up in a femme way. I’m a bottom and I only like being a bottom
