Here he is playing one of my favorites, Au Bord d'une Source.

Sounds pretty good to me, maybe a little heavy on the rubato. Perhaps he's a bit tired and impatient nowadays.

No! You need to get past that. Go traveling with friends, join a club or two. You'll find many small reasons to fight, and maybe even a new big reason. Posting this on the one year anniversary of my loss.

The left hand is traditionally used for hygiene. That's why Middle Eastern and Asian manners are to keep it under the table while eating. Because everyone knows it still stinks.

That's the truth, I became convinced after 40 years of playing. No matter how many hours of work I spend on a difficult passage, it's just not going to happen. E.g., the Chopin etude in thirds. Right from the first measures, it's obvious I'll never be as fast and smooth as a pro. My fingers and brain just wouldn't move that swiftly and evenly. Now I think of those thirds as a possible aptitude test for spotting talent. A beginner student could work on them for hours, until they either can do it or they can't, before going down that path. Perfect rhythm and timing could also be assessed independently, because a pro needs that too.

You've got to buy a bunch of violets to experiment on. Once you figure out the process, Monsanto will buy out your company for a Billion Dollars.

No, that is effectively a roasting! You want all parties to come out both informed and happy.
Just write in there the simple truths: you were unaware of that, you're sorry, and you'll strive to do better.
Anyone reading that will instantly know where the manager went wrong, maybe even the manager. Then separately ask the manager to provide examples and explain their preferred behavior.

Yes, use both brakes for their respective purposes all of the time. Then you'll instinctively use them correctly in an emergency situation.

A much more famous idea is that women are a complete enigma to men. Managing women as if they are an engineering problem rarely works.

You should have made a huge scene, talking very loudly, calling over a manager, etc. That would have straightened it out long term.

A scootie is entirely the wrong vehicle for this. With that kind of weather and distance and speed, you'll have an unending train of unfortunate incidents ranging from inconveniences to crashes to police interactions.

After sitting down, I invariably drift off for 10 minutes. Once I wake up, I stay wide awake for the duration. So I try to get there early and sleep through the credits. Kind of a disco nap. The same thing works if I start to get drowsy while driving. I pull over for a 10 minute doze -- but no longer than that.

It doesn't seem like they can be fixed. Maybe they could be firmed up with brackets. Otherwise they all need to be ripped down ASAP. Then they could make a mold, or multiple, from a castings or 3D scans and replace them with very light plaster or painted plastic versions held on with brackets.

I haven't seen that either, in person, but if a cop sees that grand combo maneuver, how could he resist? Just saying.

Turning right on red is legal, but only after a stop. I haven't seen evidence that a bicyclist has ever stopped when turning right on red.
In business districts, U-turns are permitted only at intersections. There may be additional restrictions depending on where it is.

In your job search, remember the best way to get a decent job is through networking with former coworkers, not by submitting resumes to 100 random companies.

I'm not disputing the supply and demand. In my area there is way too much building, huge four story complexes as far as the eye can see, and prices are still increasing. Call me a boomer or not (I'm not), the area is enshittifying at an alarming rate. Building until every city is ruined isn't a good solution or a long term solution. The only time prices will drop will be during the next depression.

They're looking for a reaction, so don't give them one. Keep on doing what you're doing, as you're helping normalize us.
