Yes iOS 14.5 and beyond is required if you would like to “vanilla” update to iOS 18.7.7.

If you are below iOS 14.5 and wish to go to iOS 18, it makes mention that a jailbreak is required - precisely because it will require installing some tweaks, namely Dallas and Dahlia.

As such, would like to check that you have installed Dallas and Dahlia as intended for the iOS 18 route?

Hi! I recently did something similar - albeit it was an iPad mini 5th gen on unc0ver iOS 14.3 to iOS 18.7.3. This was just done in the last couple of days. You will need to make use of Dallas and Dahlia to go to iOS 18.7.3.

Under Notes section, you’ll see a clickable “check this out” in red. This will be your guide to using Dahlia and Dallas. Along the way, it will ask that you add a certain repo.alexia.lol however that is no longer working - can use this instead https://turannul.github.io/repo/ for a working source of OTAEnabler.

When editing the automation, you can actually select multiple apps that will trigger orientation unlock emabled on opening. If you do that for orientation lock enable too, then you would have cut down from 4 automation to 2. Unfortunately I don't know a way to use a single automation to perform both enable and disable

Hmm given that I'm not sure someone could personally give you a guarantee on returning the camera to how it originally as photos are subjective after all, have you considered a third party app that lets you configure the extent of post processing?

If anyone is still having this issue, the reason for the (-2) error is due to the OTA update daemons being disabled on the old device. Re-enable them and you're good to go.

This may not be the perfect fix you are looking for, but I faced the same problem as you (wanted flyouts but also wanted explorerpatcher for other functionality that it brought), and my solution was to use ModernFlyouts (link here)
