dalyons
if you dont mind the worlds worst software
dalyons
how can you tell if you have the old or the new style windows
dalyons
thats never going to happen, because people who want a dumb car are a tiny tiny % of the market, unprofitable to serve. most consumers want as many features as possible.
dalyons
this is an out of date point - byd is not heavily subsidized anymore. There are very few subsidies left, they have all been phased out.
dalyons
he's very obviously lying to save face, why are we even giving this consideration? The ToS violation just happened to happen exactly when musk and trump were spating with ukraine over diesel? cmon
dalyons
i think thats pretty well known
dalyons
which im certain is a total lie

Home solar installer prices have almost nothing to do with wholesale or retail rates. Sure NEM is finished, which changes the payback calculation. but that has nothing to do with how much it costs to get stuff put on your roof, which is labor materials permitting and markup. Curious what your thought process is here
dalyons
Who is “they” in your comment? I was assuming California but it’s pretty ambiguous
dalyons
I don’t think you have the right idea as to why it’s 3 times cheaper in Australia. Hint, it’s not the subsidies
dalyons
It’s because home solar costs ludicrous fucktons in California. I am disgusted by the quotes, $30k for just the solar is common. Someone is making bank and it isn’t me
dalyons
I think they probably mean passing legislation that prevents some of the abuses of the executive branch
dalyons
The executive is technically the weakest branch. He cant actually override anything thats in law/legislation passed by congress. And he hasnt been, really - he tries, but then the courts have (so far) stopped him. For an EO to endure, it has to play where legislation has specifically ceded decision making to the executive, or where thats a grey area. He excels at finding and abusing grey areas, or exploiting areas where we never intended this level of executive abuse, but the legislation techincally allows it.
Nevertheless, any legislation can cut off his EO grey area playground at any point (aside from truly constitutional arguments). That the current congress has been entirely unwilling to do is the true insanity of the situation we find ourselves in.
dalyons
this bills been in the works for a long time, and i actually think its mostly good/needed for renewables. But yeah, as part of the deal they gotta take away these abused executive overrides, otherwise its a bad deal and dems would be foolish for signing it.
dalyons
They need to put something in the bill to prevent him stalling future projects. He’ll just do it again otherwise
dalyons
I’m with you… used to be full doomer too but now… he’s just too unpopular to get away with much. Too unpopular, too tired, too weak, too incompetent.
A facist takeover needs some level of public support and this administration has little.
dalyons
it me!
dalyons
as others have mentioned: yes its absolutely worth it.
ICEco20 so it fits in the subtrunk. Also, its just a fridge you occasionally use, the dometics are way overpriced imho.
Also iceco sells this (its a small cheap battery with an inline 12v plug): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B096KJS4MN
I use the battery pack so i can lift the fridge out and put it on a picnic table or whatever. Doent need much, that little pack runs it for over 24hr. you dont need to spend anything like the money of a bluetti or whatever
dalyons
They don’t know shit. Easy
dalyons
Yeah I stopped listening to Reddit doomers many years ago, because I lost out on massive amounts of gains.
dalyons
Those are all out of production though
dalyons
“It’s not that big of a problem” proceeds to describe the exact problem which is why there are no longer any double decks in production.
Yeah that’s what solar and wind is for
