In my eyes, laying off employees always means you aren't selling enough. It's manipulating the numbers to make it seem that your company is (still) growing, and keep the investors happy. In the shitty game that is capitalism, growth is everything. You don't have it, the investment money stops flowing in.

Really curious about why this is your point of view. People in my country are consistently laid off their jobs because the company decided to offshore in India.
Also, why do indian engineers settle for so little? Honest to god indian engineers can be really good at what they do, yet they settle for like 50% less than the salary in other parts of the world. Just why?
Once again, just curious about your opinion.

Greed is a cancer cosuming the game industry. First it was lootboxes, microtransactions, in-game currencies and other predatory practices and design patterns like fear of missing out or daily login rewards. Now we've gone down a step down the ladder and the cancer has spread to the game engines themselves, cancelling dozens of games and putting a good other dozen on hold (or even higher numbers). The video game industry is in crisis like in the 80s.

- I will always be rude and disrespect smug morons that deserve it. I'm not even sorry.
- Here's a third option: I googled it, I found no satisfactory answer, I asked the Finanzamt I got no satisfactory answer. I then decided to ask the people directly on this reddit and it seems some sour idiots are taking the chance to let off some steam by bashing on my ignorance. And by the way, I am allowed to be ignorant and make questions because last time I checked human beings are not born knowing every language and every legal and fiscal system on the planet. But hey, I got my answer that Rechtsform is just Legal Form and that the concept is pretty much the same as in my country and for that I thank you, even though the answer was delivered in the rudest possible fashion.
- Maybe because it is a legal term that applies only in my country and for which there is no straightforward translation to English???? I was not looking for a specific, 100% to-the-point answer, I was open to more tangent or general answer, anything would've helped. Instead I got scolded for asking a very valid question and judged. Lol.
What is the point of this subreddit if yall are gonna treat every question as "this guy is just trying to take advantage of Germany!!!!!" Lol thanks for adding another item to my list of occasions when Germans were absolute jerks to me.
I might be downvoted for saying this, but I stand with you, OP.
I see a lot of people in the comments saying that femboy isn't a NSFW term and that people shouldn't fetishize the term. I agree with all of that.
The problem is that they are unable to see the world for what it really is. The world is crooked, the people that live in it are perverse. As much as you want to think and believe that femboy isn't a NSFW term and that we should not fetishize it, the hard reality is that to a LOT of people, the term very much IS a NSFW term and a fetish.
You all are just too naive to think that pedophiles aren't gonna look at these types of games and think "oh I'm not gonna be able to find easy targets here because femboy isn't a NSFW term and I should not fetishize femboys". No bro. These words are like a fucking magnet for them. You all have to understand that pedos don't belong to the same generation as you do. They come from a time when biological males dressing in feminine outfits VERY MUCH was a fetish that was done only in the bedroom or by prostitutes, and that anyone who confessed of doing so was seen as a cross-dresser or a transvestite. It sounds rough and obscene, but life is like that, and just because we don't want to acknowledge it, it means it'll go away and not happen anymore.
You are all also forgetting that Roblox is STILL embroiled in a huge lawsuit for pedophilic activity in their platform. Well, the people conducting this lawsuit are adults, who see the world for what it is. In order to force Roblox to establish stronger measures to protect the children, we must acknowledge that crooked, rotten individuals exist, and think how they think. So, if the people behind the lawsuits (parents, lawyers, politicians) find out that Roblox has games where "boys can dress as girls", what do you think they are going to think? Not necessarily that it's wrong (although, lots of parents are still uncomfortable with the idea of their boys dressing like girls), but they WILL think, "why is a game that can be potentially be interpreted as a fetish by many sick people allowed to be in a platform for children?" And good luck having parents listen to the argument of "b-b-but it's age restricted!!!!" When it comes to protecting their children, people are not known for listening to reason.
If you don't believe me, look at the satanic panic that Dungeons and Dragons was at the center of in the 70s and 80s, or the "game violence" craze that happened in the 90s and targeted games like Doom. We now think DnD and Doom to be harmless, but back then, when the parents and the lawmakers didn't fully understand these things, the industry was put under a lot of pressure to regulate.
Also, don't forget that Roblox is a global platform, and a game where boys can dress like girls simply will NOT sit right with people from certain cultures. The tiny slice of internet/generational culture that you belong to is NOT the entire world. Femboys and tomboys are still simply sexual degeneracy to a lot of people around the world to this very day, even in "developed" or "progressive" countries like the UK and the US. It doesn't matter if you agree with that or not. So by hosting these types of games, Roblox will always be walking a very thin line between profit and controversy.
So I agree with you OP. These games will very much remain a controversial content that Roblox, as a platform, given all of the stuff happening right now, is better off just getting rid of.
