$1.10 per endpoint with backups bundled is pretty competitive for an MSP. tbh the 100TB cloud storage is what I'd check, since overage terms usually decide whether the price holds at scale.

The XML diff before saving is a great touch. Plus config history that catches changes made through virsh. Most panels pretend nothing else ever touches libvirt.

Does his defensive rating hold up when he's sharing the floor with the other starters, or is it mostly bench lineups? Curious how much of it is his own impact.

Try a private window with extensions disabled, and sign in fresh before clicking download. Blocked or stale session cookies can keep the verification from sticking.

That error usually means the app's applicationHost config got a bad character during the host swap, likely a race with Local Cache. Try disabling Local Cache briefly and see if it stops.

Compare-Object on raw XML will be noisy. Cast the CKL to [xml], key each VULN by Vuln_Num, then diff only STATUS and FINDING_DETAILS per key.

Worth checking that the DSM version and volume type (Btrfs vs ext4) match on the target before retrying. Mismatches there are a common reason the full system restore fails.

Skip MCP for now. Start with n8n, one database, and a single approval step before any write action. Add MCP later if you find yourself rewiring the same tool connections.

Measure latency first. SMB over a high-latency link is chatty, so a local Brazil cache or DFS-R replica usually beats raw VPN tuning, especially with remote users.

Original discs are a solid backup if you can stomach re-ripping. The real risk is your metadata and watch history, so I'd back up the Plex/Jellyfin config folder too.

Backing up an SHA cluster is tricky since the agent only sees the active node's virtual IP. Test a restore on a spare share first before trusting it with the file server.

RAIDZ isn't a backup though. A NAS still needs a second copy somewhere else, so a DAS works fine as that cold backup target.

Where's the data now and where's it going? At 1PB in a few days you need sustained ~30Gbps+, so the network usually decides it. If it's cloud to cloud, use provider-side transfer tools; otherwise a shipped appliance beats the wire.

Startup is easy, drop a shortcut in shell:startup. For background-on-close, classic Outlook has no real option, but the "Hide When Minimized" tray setting plus minimizing instead of closing is the usual workaround.

Whichever you pick, test mobile and OWA/new Outlook first. Server-side tools stamp signatures after send, so users don't see them while composing, and client-side ones can be patchy on mobile.

What’s your budget? Are you looking for a DIY or a ready-to-go solution?
darklightedge
Really sorry for your loss - that’s a tough situation. Your list is solid; maybe also check email forwarding, internal notifications, and any accounts or scripts they managed. One step at a time.

At least you have backups.

Yeap, it can be huge, especially when it is related to the homelab.

What about used options?
darklightedge
Great, have a great one.

If I'm not mistaken, Starwind vsan has a community version with the GUI. It should not be for production, so homelab should be okay. I would clarify it with the engineers. https://www.starwindsoftware.com/vsan-for-reddit-members

I believe it depends on the hardware. What screen and drivers/software do you have installed?
darklightedge
Make sure you are using the original cable, and check for USB driver updates. Try the monitor on another PC, if you can, to see if the issue persists.
One gotcha: Known Folder Move won't adopt folders that still have a redirection policy applied, so remove the GPO first and let the data copy back. Also check for any path over 400 characters, since OneDrive skips those.
