I live in a country where Chinese EVs are competitive, let me tell you: there is no competition right now if there are no tariffs against Chinese EVs. They are sooo far ahead that you are just a regard if you consider other options.

The price is just unbeatable. And they are pretty well made.

If the objective is to develop your local industry, you have to protect against Chinese EVs. But if you want the best product, there is no discussion.

For here, we don't really have a good market for cars in general, so the Chinese cars kinda saved the market so I don't give a fuck about the "local industry".

But you have to be aware that if you allow them to compete freely, you don't have much chance to win against right now.
