FWIW this was later retconned in Enterprise (via grandfather paradox) so the Borg would've found out about the Federation just around that time anyway.
Also, it's later mentioned that the Dominion was well aware of the Alpha Quadrant civilizations and their rough capabilities long before direct contact through the wormhole. If they could do it at roughly the same distance, it's hard to imagine the more technologically advanced Borg couldn't.

Or poisoning a whole planet with a chemical weapon to punish a handful of terrorists hiding among the population.
Or letting Garak be Garak and deciding to live with it.

You missed the best part, which is Q's retort: "Oh, very clever, Worf. Eat any good books lately?"
darkslide3000
The good part about this is that while Q is fucking around for the lulz, the crew of the ship is still entirely serious. They are not breaking the fourth wall to crack jokes all the time like in those modern shows, they are portraying realistically what would happen if a highly trained crew of experts on an exploration mission ran into an all-powerful alien that just wants to mess with them. You can see Picard's frustration about someone doing this on his bridge in his pose in the picture.

First season he's a bit more regularly present, then they dial it down a little.
darkslide3000
I'm pretty sure they already learned that lesson, that's why they're so against it, lol.

Excuse me, waiter, my steak is too juicy and my lobster too buttery!

I'm a big fan of prosecuting wire theft from power or railway infrastructure as military sabotage (aka high treason), because in times of hybrid war with Russia that's essentially what it is.

The secret source is racism.
darkslide3000
That's your secret, your language is too irrelevant to censor.

If this is what goes for prostitutes in your country Mario I gotta say, after all the talk about those fabled Italian women I expected a little more.
darkslide3000
Yeah Mario, how come you can never do anything right, not even fascist takeovers?
darkslide3000
Paramount sold the steaming rights for those to HBO.

When the Hirogen come on board you show them his feet and they decide they'd rather hunt some other prey instead.
darkslide3000
The worst was when they decided to rename Star Trek: Terok Nor in a blatant act of native heritage erasure.
darkslide3000
Better than when he said: "Voyage 'er? I never even met 'er!"

Viridian is actually a tiny toy sun that's only 5 lightseconds from the planet. It's all explained in the novelization.

Picard and Riker, their faces in their palms.
darkslide3000
What's next? A proper Jund saga commander from the Babylon 5 set?
You are the beginning of the story...and the middle of the story...and the end of the story - that creates the next great story. In your heart you know what Zathras says is true!
darkslide3000
Wow. You just woke up today and chose violence, huh?

Alternate Riker, his Beard Scraggly and Unkempt

The Proud Boys and friends.

Jair Renan: an idiot that nobody takes seriously, except to make fun of him.
Good to know the Brazilian Trump comes with his own Eric.

Bit of a missed pun to not make Talisman of Dominance a ketracel white vial or something like that.
Speaking of which, have we seen any Dominion cards yet or are they completely ignoring DS9 besides a few starring characters?
This set is adding a ton of new one-off types to the comprehensive rules (e.g. "Tamarian"), which is also kinda annoying me. But I guess Wizards has given up on keeping that somewhat clean for a while now.
