Regarding your second point, I don’t think sharing knowledge is a bad thing. What sets two artists apart should be their creative vision and artistry, not gatekept knowledge of nodes or technical workflows. At the end of the day, the software is just a tool to create and express ideas.

darmonis

Hey! Do you have some youtuber/guide recomendation to try KBOC Necro?

darmonis

I’d like to test it!

Looks ver nice and smooth, any tips to make stylized vfx on godot ?

I find it hard to see this replacing current workflows in traditional gaming, especially when compared to photogrammetry, which already has a very established pipeline for asset creation.

However, for "non conventional" video games such as educational projects, Games as a Service, or VR experiences. I think this technology has massive potential, thinking of applications in museology, historical recreations, and digital twins.

In these fields, it could provide high quality, semi-explorable environments that capture a level of realism that is often too time consuming or costly to achieve with traditional modeling, offering a much more immersive experience for the user.

Right now, photogrammetry has a direct application in video games (look at the Epic ecosystem: Unreal Engine, Quixel Megascans, and RealityScan). I imagine Gaussian Splatting hasn't been implemented yet because it lacks real-world utility within the game production pipeline.

However, in fields like virtual production, I've noticed people starting to use 360º dioramas captured with Gaussian Splatting for photoshoots and advertising

Thank you for all the work you put into this community!!

Amazing style, how we could get something similar?

darmonis

Im playing that and its very hard. 300k monster killed but still lvl 90. 6 portals every map, looking forward something esle.

darmonis

Any Idea how to change the download directory for the model? By default it uses my C disk but I dont have 80G free there..

darmonis

Same, can't fix it. Trying to install manualy but it seems like its not doing anything

Nothing at all

Play what you want to play and what you enjoy. I think getting to the endgame sooner or having to wait a bit longer is irrelevant, as long as you like the build and have fun with it. That said, it does need to be capable of clearing maps consistently. If you think you'll reach that level, then go for it. If, on the other hand, you see it as being complicated, it's preferable to play something you know for a fact will allow you to progress, whether it's faster or slower

darmonis

Very nice and deep

from the author: So keep in mind that while it might appear that way deadeyes mitigation falls off when getting hit. So deadeye will have a bigger max hit for things like big boss slams and what not but tricksters defenses will be up more consistently when mapping. The biggest example of this is things like spark skeles or those lightning guys on fortress just tearing through deadeyes wind ward

So far I like trickster the most in theory but haven't actually played with a non-deadeye version yet

darmonis

Looking on poeninja for trickster inspiration, all seems to be less damage and less tanky than deadeye. Any ideas if it will be a good idea to build on trickster?

darmonis

Yep, I saw that but Idk how it works

darmonis

Wonderful
