Agents vastly prefer Tanstack Start to Next. Next has too many weird implicit magic behaviours, sometimes you need to export random consts with a special name to make something happen. Tanstack Start is fully typesafe end to end and all the config/settings are type discoverable.

Typescript will be the ultimate winner I think, especially if they get maximally stricter on types. It just runs everywhere. Web, mobile, TV, etc. If you're writing all code with agents you want to maximise reuse and shareability, and Typescript is really the only option that achieves that.

There has always been jobs that are barely jobs. AI just makes the necessity to cut them more stark.
