personally for a rough cut I use the track I think sounds the best only, and then when it comes time to take it to the final mix, I prep the sequence for mix by cutting back on all the microphone layers that weren't on the timeline during the edit.

I bought one and TBH haven't used it much, i think I prefer the modules without digital screens... for me a lot of the point of going modular was to get away from the computer/DAW. That being said there is a ton you can do with it; so it's a good all in one module. There's really great module emulations in there, as well as a ton of utilities, and you can save your patches.

just now realizing after seeing the picture that i built mine upside down lol

I bought this thang, put it on a microphone stand.

Doesn't sound dumb at all. I personally am looking for more melodic, generative, random sequences that I can build songs from after sampling, but there are a lot of applications and roads you can go down. I think the important thing for me as a beginner was to keep an open mind and experiment regardless of how its sounding. I'm am alumni of Sarah Belle Reid's Sound and Synthesis Class which has been a huge help and also has an advice video and workshop for building a beginner rig.

I'd want to have more voices to play with (vs rad effects, granularizarions, etc) but I think I have a higher voice to HP ratio than most others it seems.
Cool TY I agree !

I am interested in above, how do you carry out sales?
dead_editr
I'll remake my setup in modular grid and repost.
i think im still trying to figure out how its useful to me i see everyone rave about it and people use it in interesting ways but most the time i just skip it in my patches still.
