When I was like 7 or 8, I was playing Final Fantasy 7, and there’s a part where you’re on a large boat. I talked to Barret, and he told me to talk to people on the boat to pass the time.

I ran about that damn boat talking to every NPC for what felt like literal hours. No one was progressing the story. I went into every room, talked to every NPC, over and over… but I never tried simply talking to Barret again.

I appreciate the advice. They haven’t really gotten to me at all, truthfully. It might not come off that way because I’m posting things like this, but I’ve been in game dev for over 5 years in the public sphere now. I handle negative reviews daily, this just isn’t really what it is about at this point for me.

I’ve actually had a support ticket open since Friday with no response unfortunately.

If what they did is illegal where they are (most believe AUS), is there still a chance they could be held liable if I file a report and press charges and they are able to be found?

To be specific; they do not seem very good at hiding their identities, cover their tracks, etc. multiple random internet users have already tried to send me their personal information (doxxing them) which I’m obviously not doing anything with, but just to say I don’t think it will be difficult for any agency to actually find them

It's an interesting scenario that just keeps going.

They are now trying to claim I'm lying about what they said because I censored it, and even tried to goad me in to releasing the full unedited video (which would platform their agenda) by calling me a chicken. Like, come on, lol.

I’m not sure yet until I see how they handle it. I’m assuming they keep track of all the upvotes, and they already have IP/HWID data, so they can probably use that to link a bunch of the people together.

I’m actually really thankful you posted this because there’s a lot of people who keep trying to say it doesn’t matter and reviews don’t do anything, but they definitely do. You have nothing feel stupid about; I don’t think anyone should risk it.

Honestly, I get it. Especially now because it’s gained quite a bit of momentum. I’m definitely not good enough at marketing for that, but more, there’s zero chance I’d tank my own daily deal for the hope to maybe have a post go viral afterwards.

I’ve had a ticket I’ve been updating over and over since Friday, hoping it’s top of the pile tomorrow.

I have a support ticket in with steam, waiting on a reply.

I think the bigger thing isn’t the size of my game, but the limited giant visibility it has during the daily deal.
