In the Messages settings you're in, go to Send & Receive. Click the blue link with their Apple Account at the bottom. If it gives the option to sign in, click it. It will appear as if nothing happens for about 10 seconds, then additional information should show up.

I get calls at work from people like this all the time, at least twice a week. They truly believe someone has hacked their devices, that an ex or neighbor is some kind of NSA-level super hacker, and the delusions go deeper and deeper.
