Nope

You can root your device via magisk (you should already be able to adb pull the boot image w/o root, use that with Magisk to root your device, then use the rooted device to backup everything). I reached out to Daylight and hopefully they'll provide the factory images, at that point I'll share a "revert" procedure.

It's cut, but this is the return rate (or service case rate). Basically, which percentage of the sold units are returned. The higher, the worse.

Opened 3x service cases for Dreame products (to Galaxus!). I like Dreame products, but the quality is just not there - I'm sorry.

L10s Pro Ultra Heat: Water pump stopped working and robot randomly dead H15 Mix: Motor died suddenly

I really wish I could say something better about Dreame (coming from Ecovacs it was a huge upgrade) - but sadly I only had negative experiences. The good thing is that, when the product works, it really works well.

Yes, good point. It looks like a Deepal L06 actually!

Something's changing: they're about to use Unreal Engine: https://x.com/greentheonly/status/1953882658284392579

denvit

AFAIK, yes. Haven't checked the latest firmwares though

denvit

It's Chromium - hardly their fault tbh. Also doesn't match my experience (don't use HBO though)

denvit

FYI they use Godot for the rendering

Also... ooof, my highschool maths is damn rusty!

Perfectly aligned with the language :)

Sorry, just saw this now:

  1. Maybe an LLC (?) or a non-profit organization. I'm doing this to create alternatives and the code is fully open source.
  2. Currently private investment (of my own time and money), in the future we can think of sponsoring via Patreon / GitHub Sponsor
  3. Centralized, but anyone can host their own instance (AGPLv3). At the moment the service isn't federated but we might implement this feature.
  4. Yes, we don't have any current policy at the moment since we don't provide file hosting. I personally don't have anything against lawful content. We might get a bit stricter in this sense as soon as we get more user-generated content - but the platform allows posts / rings to be tagged as "NSFW". As long as the content isn't breaking any law - I don't see why it shouldn't be posted in their dedicated rings.

Done, licensed AGPLv3

denvit

Do you have an example? So far I heard about Apollo shutting down and a lot of others doing the same

denvit

Looks like an awesome suggestion! I'll make the backend open source as well soon, and as soon that's available too, I'll make both projects (frontend + backend) AGPL.

The current backend codebase can definitely be improved, but it works and we need to reach an usable MVP.
Are you willing to contribute to the project? Our frontend is in Vue and the backend is in Go + PostgreSQL. Everything is running on Fly.io

denvit

Were they?

I personally know more people (from my social circle) using a Reddit app compared to the Reddit website.
On top of that, the amount of people that are using old.reddit.com over the "new" Reddit UI is incredible - it really shows that something is broken with the new UI - I hope I won't make the same mistake.

denvit

What license do you suggest? I didn't add it yet, suggestions are welcome.

GPL-3?

denvit

In order to save all of these apps, I'm building a Reddit-API compatible alternative called rings.social.

Ideally all of these apps instead of shutting down should just change their endpoints to api.rings.social and we'll be able to continue it from there.

The project is still ongoing, but developers can contribute to the frontend on GitHub and everyone can discuss about it on Slack

denvit

Can you add mine? rings.social is supposed to be an API-compatible alternative to Reddit.
This effectively means that the app developers (e.g: RIF, Apollo and the others) only need minimal efforts to migrate to that.

Be aware, the thing is still very experimental and is still missing a lot of features - but I'm slowly building it...
