I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a Cabinet position.

I love how you can immediately distinguish the BTS photos because they all look happy to be around each other.
diamond
They'll die on the same day on opposite ends of the country, and Takei's last words will be "Shatner still lives."
diamond
Having full control would be a good way to accomplish that!
diamond
Ossoff is an electoral monster.
Which is crazy when you consider this is only his second Senate election, and the first one he just barely won in a recount.
diamond
I assumed JD was Piggy in this scenario.
diamond
I disagree. I hate it.
It's coarse, and irritating, and it gets everywhere.
diamond
I don't think that would be appropriate to put in a textboo-
Oh! You meant a different meme.
diamond
Little bit TMI there, but OK.
diamond
I would be happy to just get rid of it entirely. We're the only goddamn government that does it this way.
But the GOP will never go for that.
diamond
Yeah that's what I would assume. It was just fine there for like 150 years.

The bill would Abolish ICE, Abolish Customs and Border Protection, AND Abolish The Department of Homeland Security, EXCEPT for FEMA and The TSA.
What about the Secret Service?
diamond
Or at least a non-white guy if they run out of women.
Watch your back, Ka$h...

"Aw, man. Why can't we? Please please please please PLEASE?"

So far the deal appears to be on, but:
- Considering how pissed off even the Republicans are, that could change, and more importantly
- It's a grand total of like 1.5 days' supply of diesel. So even if it goes through, it'll be a rounding error on the price.

Oh yeah I know. That's why I said "a feel".
But the entire plot of that book revolves around David's scheme to trap Jackson Lamb into killing Charles Partner for him. So it sort of gives you an idea of just how dangerously manipulative he can be.
diamond
No, not that I'm aware of. But I think The Secret Hours is what I was thinking of. That's the one that took place in Berlin in the 90s, right?
diamond
October Not-Really-Much-of-a-Surprise.
diamond
I don't know if you've read any of the books, but there are a few prequel stories in there that give you a feel for what he was like at his peak.

"We're the party of Lincoln!"
(flies Confederate flag from truck)
diamond
The Coast Guard existed before it and can be excised once more, as can anything else of value.
Same with the Secret Service. In fact, I'm pretty sure most of their organizational issues began after they were moved from the Treasury Department to DHS.
diamond
Ah, yes. We have reached the season of "If this one single legislator can't change everything all on their own, why should I vote for them?"
diamond
I refuse to believe this is not an SNL skit.

That's what I love about David Cartwright. There are these two diametrically opposed views of him: River sees him as kind, loving and nurturing, someone who was always there to guide and protect him. Jackson sees him as a brutal, heartless, manipulative son of a bitch.
And they're both right.
You weren't supposed to take it literally!
