Thanks! Did you do a full restore or did you restore it to an older version of iPadOS?

Yeah, oddly enough it looks like it only happens for me when it's around 45-ish percent battery...

Thanks! I actually took the photo myself, it's of Lake Como :)

Apple refurb, and unfortunately resetting everything didn't work :/

Has anybody else experienced this? It looks like a few other people have had issues on the Apple discussion boards: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251344619?answerId=252682522022&page=1

But I'm curious if anybody on Reddit has been able to figure out what to do. Luckily (?) it's a refurbished model that I just bought so I should be able to return it, but it's just frustrating since it had been working perfectly for a day or two before this started.

That makes sense. Are you using the smart folio keyboard case now instead?

died

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, honestly the more research I do the more I'm confused. I have a 2013 MBA that's getting old but still works fine enough for most tasks. I plan on using the IPP as a second/third monitor but also for reading, media, taking notes, etc. Not so much typing, but you make a great point about using the iPad more with a keyboard. Maybe it's worth it for "future proofing" my use cases and seeing if I use it. It looks like brand new on eBay is ~125 anyways so it may be worth it, just to have!

died

Agreed it's overpriced, but it seems like nobody is really regretting it, which makes it tough!

died

Weird question, but have you ever tried an online coding interview website (like leetcode?). I feel like an iPad Pro with the keyboards would be an awesome way to crank out some practice problems randomly throughout the day.

I'd definitely experiment with GPS modes. I also have the 245M and after running with just GPS mode on, I noticed my route was relatively straight but everything was like, maybe 10 feet northeast of where the road actually was (if that makes sense...?). I switched to GPS + Galileo and it's much better.

I can send you links to my strava runs if you wanna see the difference! DM me if you're interested

Agreed, I always noticed that NRC would undercut my miles (like, a 5 mile run being at 4.5), I think because of smoothing out the course. I would always measure out my runs using onthegomap.com though and Strava would be exact to the mile marker, even though they should be using the same phone GPS...

died

I have an Apple Watch Series 2 that I used to use and compared to my phone + Strava, it was really inaccurate. I would map out my runs on onthegomap.com and Strava would be accurate for pretty much each mile marker, whereas the Apple Watch would be off by about .1 miles each time (from the way it smooths out the runs, I think). So my 9 min paces were more like 10 min paces on the Apple Watch. Plus sometimes the GPS wouldn't register, or the cadence would just glitch out and drop the average by ~10, or the touch screen wouldn't react... Granted these are all probably a result of it being an older watch (but like, only 3.5 years old...)

I was getting really annoyed by the inaccuracy, and also wanted to track heart rate and cadence, so I went ahead and bought a Forerunner 245 the other day. I still haven't gotten it but you should be able to find Garmin discounts for 20% off! I got mine through my health care provider, BCBS.

Thanks! I'll be taking your advice, recovering and making sure the volume is reasonably built up.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I'm definitely feeling point 1, resetting and sticking to a more manageable base.

For point 2, I was actually trying to stick to the 80% rule, although I think it's a bit harder to gauge as a beginner. My hard runs were between 7:30 and 8 min miles at 1-2 mile distances, whereas my slow runs were usually between 9 and 10 min mile pace for 3 to 5 miles. You're right though, looking at my training log though the 10 mile run was definitely too long compared to my other slow runs.

For point 3, yeah I wasn't really following a plan, just trying to run 4-5x a week trying to break up longer distances (2 weeks ago for example was 7, 3, 4, 10). I guess that's part of why training plans exist though, to properly ramp you up....

died

Yep. Now I'm looking for advice on where to go from here.

died

I was on a training program a few years ago that got me to like ~15 mpw, so I think I was getting a bit aggressive remembering that, as up until recently I had not been running but lifting instead. I think that's a good idea though to reset and get back into it in a smarter way haha

died

Feeling super burnt out. I've started running more with the quarantine, ramping up my miles way too fast.

5 weeks ago was 2 miles

4 weeks ago was 9 miles

3 weeks ago was 17 miles

2 weeks ago was 24 miles

Last week was 24 miles

My runs are getting slower and harder though. 2 weeks ago that included a 10 mile run @ 10:00 per mile, whereas yesterday was a 5 mile run @ 10:15 per mile with the last being closer to 11 minutes. I felt like total crap at the halfway point.

Has this happened to others? I'm thinking the culprit was ramping my miles up too fast (like 2x or 1.5x increase per week rather than the recommended 1.1x)... but now that the damage is done, I'm unsure of where to go from here. Maybe I'm not eating enough and my body is just running out of fuel too? (I haven't really modified my diet yet) I'm going to take 2 days off and planning "just" 20 miles for this week, hoping that's smart but I really have no clue. Any advice on what to do next would definitely be appreciated!

Also in Boston, I have 592 boosts but only at 99%, with no albums or merch. I do have a request for 4 tickets though so idk if that matters.

Actually--if you look at the sold listings, you'll see plenty. Dave had them taken down.

If you like the style KJP and his crew have, take note of what they actually wear when they're not modeling their own products--KJP never really wears his own button downs or that anchor sweatshirt, for example. Likewise, Sarah never really wears anything besides a bracelet. I wouldn't buy those t shirts, I saw them in person and was immediately turned off at how the heather pattern was so prominent (super contrasty compared to JCrew's)

We've determined that you are located within the local broadcast area of this game, and are therefore blacked out of this game. Live audio and full game archives are available with your subscription.

I'm getting this even though I'm in Boston! Anybody else having MLB.tv issues?
