You can tell it’s old because it’s mimicking a film camera. Digital cameras don’t sound like that.

Lots of magic is good to get things going quickly. Then later, to run a stable service, too much magic is bad. Better to be explicit.

Yeah, what the hell are these biologists smoking!
They can’t tell the difference between ancient writing systems. Idiots.

It’s just the grave stone for a very very very deep grave.

I’m waiting until it can fly.

Sounds like a very nice approach. How would you say it compares to Prisma?

It’s great that you are digging into this. And understanding the event loop is important for understanding certain problems. But on the whole this level of detail is not required to use the language.
In real systems too much is going to on to know which tick happens next. So just code appropriately. Know when you are single threaded, and know when you are async. That is enough.
It can all change in a future version (unlikely but possible)

Pretty much any USB-C charger that uses USB-PD (power delivery) of over 30W. More watts will change faster.
Also look for GAN chargers (gallium nitride?) as they are smaller and more efficient.
If you travel search for a travel charger so you can swap the mains plug end for us/eu/uk etc.
I think a 60W USB-C charger with two or three outputs and travel adapters is my usual recommendation.

That mild steel definitely looks infuriated.

I’ve often wondered if someone would port that to Apple Silicon. It’s a shame the old Cathode app doesn’t run anymore

Indeed. I guess the reporter was told they were developing an AI based dynamic pricing engine and ran with it.

Better than flashing amber lights is dynamical turning the light green as a vehicle approaches if nothing is coming from the other direction. And of course going red for the route with no traffic, just in case of a detector fault. This could be combed with the “too fast causes a red signal” approach from above.
I think amber flashing is ok, but something more automated would make responsibility clearer.

Most likely the new thing is that it’s being done with new AI tools rather than the older ‘AI’ tools that we had five or ten years ago

How does this compare to what justine.lol did with https://github.com/jart/cosmopolitan and as used in Mozilla Llamafile?
diroussel
Increase the heap size. It can make it a fair bit faster. Also long as you have plenty of RAM

I’m pretty sure humans are bigger than badgers

This needs to be colorized and posted to r/historycolorized

Well the Kaiser was at war with his cousin. I personally would extend the same courtesy to the officers of my cousin’s army, the next time I go to war with him.

These English towns, they’re all the same to me.

Where’s the camel? Did it already pass through?

Would be good to have a separate fit line for post 2014, as that is clearly a separate section disjoint from the period before.

Look at what file format and codec is currently used and then google a bit to see if there is a better codec. We can’t answer “what is better than X?” As you didn’t say what X is.
Even if there is a better codec than the one currently used, re-encoding will almost always loose some quality. So if quality is your main concern then no you can’t make it smaller.
If you just make it smaller then it depends on what formats and codecs you can encode to, how long you are prepared to spend re-encoding and what quality loss is acceptable.

The place looks like a ruin
