I’ve just benchmarked mine, and it takes 1.5-1.9 seconds from a cold start to the region picker. If it’s already running in the background, it takes 125-200 ms. That’s on an average business-class laptop from 2019 with a 4K screen.
As for the size, the installer is around 80 MB, the portable ZIP is about 110 MB, and it takes up roughly 250 MB on disk once installed.

Thanks for sharing! I’m also writing mine in C# because it’s blazing fast. I went with Avalonia for the frontend though, as I wanted it to run on both Windows and macOS. Linux support is also in the works, but it’s taking longer because I’m less familiar with it and struggling a bit with video capture.

Thanks! I’m building mine so that OCR runs in the background, letting me search screenshots by any text that appeared on the screen. I can also copy text directly from an image just by selecting it.

divoPL

Do you start it with Windows (i.e. it sits in the system tray), or does it take 5 seconds from a cold start?

divoPL

I see, thanks. I often need to go back and amend my work, so I need access not only to a screenshot library but also to the edit history. That means annotations must remain editable rather than being baked into the image.

divoPL

I’m not looking to sell it, if that’s what you’re asking. What I meant is that if there’s enough interest, I’ll give it away for free.

divoPL

I made this a priority - moment I press PrtScr I want screen to freeze and then I can decide if I want to grab a screen, window or region.

divoPL

But without your annotations?

divoPL

Don’t you miss having quick access to your screenshot history?

divoPL

Maybe all three units are calibrating one after another rather than in parallel?

Got an update today (finally) to v1.0.1.160. What’s annoying is that the moment I open the app, it resets the limits to whatever schedule is configured in the app.

Come on, EcoFlow! Your app isn’t the only way to manage this inverter.

As someone who has lived half my life in the EU and the second half in the UK, I think the biggest compromise for me has been housing. It’s not just a stereotype when people call British houses shoeboxes.

The same applies to almost everything associated with the buildings: doors, windows, roofs, lofts, insulation, plumbing, floors, furniture, fences, gardens, and garages. Not electrical workmanship, though - sockets, plugs, and overall electrical safety design are actually superior.

Everything else often feels cheap, small, temporary, wonky, out of level, and out of plumb. At the same time, houses - whether new builds or older properties - as well as DIY materials and home improvement products, are expensive and not as readily available as they are in much of the EU.

divoPL

I’ll bet my money that it will never happen. Most houses in the U.K. are single-phase

divoPL

It should not go down to 0. Their house is still consuming 2-3 kW

divoPL

Is this Powerwall 3? Do you have backup gateway?

divoPL

What’s MAP Energy for Powerwall?

divoPL

When you have a battery and an SEG tariff, it is often more economically sensible to export ALL generated solar to the grid rather than exporting just the excess solar or consuming it yourself.

Simplified example: you start the day at 6am with your battery fully charged from the grid, costing £1 for 20 kWh (5p/kWh). During the day, your battery powers your house while you generate 20 kWh of solar and export all of it, earning £2.40 (12p/kWh). Your net position is +£1.40.

If instead you start the day with your battery at 0%, generate 20 kWh of solar, and use that energy to charge the battery and power your house, your bill is effectively £0. Compared with the export-and-charge strategy, you’re £1.40 worse off.

divoPL

You’d have to shift those loads to after midnight, when grid electricity is almost free. The dishwasher and EV are probably the easiest places to start.

divoPL

OK. If you’re not being paid for the exported energy, then maximising self-consumption makes sense.

divoPL

Why is the grid not charging the battery, and why is the solar doing this? You’re leaving about 30% of money in the table…

divoPL

This is Tesla Solar sub. People discus solar roof, panels, Powerwall, energy that kind of stuff.

divoPL

I have connected an EcoFlow Stream to my existing Powerwall 3 setup (with a Gateway 2) and haven’t seen any issues so far. The Stream basically lowers the house consumption, so in the Tesla app it looks like the house is using very little electricity.

divoPL

Thanks. I’ll wait for my update to come through then.

divoPL

Are you in the UK?

divoPL

6kW export is decent. Paying £££ for street upgrade makes no sense imo. Excess solar, if any, will go to the battery or used immediately by the house loads so it’s not going to be wasted. I’d keep the inverter size.
