I trained both of my children at about 20 months. I think there is really a sweet spot that they are starting to learn cause + effect and still generally do what you tell them. It wasn’t easy per se but the people I know that wait until 2.5-3.5 years seem to have more trouble with it.

Congrats! My first and second are almost exactly 2.5 years apart and I think it is perfect. The oldest was gaining independence and could understand what was going on. Now at 5.5/3 they play together nicely (sometimes! lol).

My second baby was 9lb3oz and I had no problem delivering him, my friend had a 9lb14oz baby as a VBAC!

My first baby had a sweep and went into labor a few days (3 or 4?) later. Second baby I had a sweep and went into labor same day.

I decided on the IUD over mini pill so that periods wouldn’t affect my milk supply. It was a breeze pp compared to before I had kids.

I have called family for patients on comfort care and I just tell them their loved one is taking a turn for the worse, it’s not a surprise by that point of course. If it’s unexpected I at the most will tell them they’re doing poorly and had to move to ICU but the doctor gives the actual outlook in those cases.

If you program the pump for the full volume and let it infuse until you get an air in line alarm you’ll cut down the volume left in the tubing by quite a bit, I’d guess 15mL because the chamber holds the largest share. I need to investigate next time I’m at work though.

It would depend heavily on your birth experience and your baby. My second baby was a (relatively) easy delivery, straightforward recovery, and he was pretty easy. My immediate family (all adults) came over for Thanksgiving one week after he was born. I contributed absolutely nothing to the preparation and cleanup. It was lovely!! I do not think it would have been possible after the birth of my first which was much more difficult physically. So basically it might! be doable but your husband cannot expect you to lift a finger for anything related to hosting. I would also consider whether the children in attendance are likely to be exposed to any nasty little germs.

My dentist keeps cleanings on the normal schedule and just postpones the xray to the next visit if I’m due

2 or 3 cycles with three separate pregnancies.

A few months before my 21st birthday 😀 8 years later on the same unit

I used the Elvie, it was reasonably discreet with a jacket and people only noticed it when it was quiet. It wasn’t quite as productive as my Spectra but good enough. I liked the Elvie a bit better than the Willow. Once I saw a trauma surgeon pumping with an Elvie too 🫡

Then you don’t worry if there’s visible areola, just look at mouth position of baby and whether or not it’s painful

Queen Anne’s Lace is not native to North America so if you are in that area Golden Alexanders is a great choice!

Golden Alexanders (zizia aurea) is another host plant you can try to find for next year! I planted mine in the fall and it is thriving this year.

I had one patient with their name (which had four letters) tattood on their left fingers. Plus a guy who had a red crossed circle (🚫) with the symbol for female in it. Surprisingly he had a wife?

doctorscook

I would love to hear what plants you have! It looks lovely

Sometimes earlier, both of mine were right around 40 weeks and very minimal vernix
