Plz make a video compilation or something
dottywine
Thankyou for explaining! So that scene was really meant to be shocking
dottywine
Racist guy cheats on wife. Hmm. Mental break down or just a POS?
dottywine
I don’t think anyone claims her son’s death is more tragic. It just highlights how bad the healthcare is even if you have money for a top facility.
dottywine
I love how you ignored what I said earlier which is the governing bodies impose standards of improvement on that facility. It’s not simply about sueing and they get audited even if no one sues. There are multiple governing bodies to hold them accountable and Nigeria does not have this.
dottywine
Go ahead and follow their logic. If it’s that bad in the west, how much worse is it in Nigeria?
dottywine
I promise you, I pay attention to where I actually live more than Nigeria 😂 And in America, the state can hold health facilities accountable, not just kin or patient victims. And they are regularly audited. I think you cannot compare the level of accountability, even if there are missteps. And I’m not seeking for doctors to go to jail. I never mentioned jail. I’m merely talking about having them held accountable and that being public record and considered for future roles. Like I don’t expect a doctor with a suspended license to be hired at a top hospital, but it happens in Nigeria.
You’re very unrealistic.
dottywine
Of course it is an issue anywhere. My concern is the lack of accountability and adherence to protocol. In the US, malpractice is documented. Practitioners are fired. You can look up the record of doctors, etc. And there are options to get second and third opinions. Nigeria doesn’t seem like that. Like the level of advocating you have to do is crazy. Down to someone being by your bedside to make sure your oxygen mask is on…

Someone help him. It is dangerous to be the only black kid in a group in any yt dominated country.

Poor taste in plastic surgery + too many hard drugs. Such an awful combo.

It sounded like they never wanted Kailin to begin with. They only let her on because of her social media (obviously she is beautiful and thin) and how she could bring competition. They were never rooting for her. Like they just wanted to do a Make-A-Wish thing. I don’t quite get why they don’t like her. Maybe she’s not tall enough. Maybe her jaw isn’t strong enough or her eyes are too doe-like.

Still didn’t work for me

Well, where I live, there is accountability against the workers and the hospital. And ways to publically track improvements against these incidents. In Nigeria, it seems that accountability is optional. Which makes it more likely. And personally, I have heard many more stories of medical mishap with no accountability in Nigeria compared to where I live. This is why I am fearful. As far as other nations in the world - I don't know about them because I'm not planning to move there. Good to know about Lagos -- what about when traveling outside of Lagos? I guess life is full of taking chances.
dottywine
Oh crap didn't even notice that! Thank you!
dottywine
Devoid of color... which we perceive as black...
dottywine
But why would they use light blue color when he's supposed to be super dark?
dottywine
Yes they do. I mean, they have wide variety of skin tones and this tan color is very common.

Why wouldn't your child walk? Wouldn't it be bad for them to be in a stroller? I can understand the toddler, but 5 is old enough to be using their legs. And wouldn't the child be insulted? (I can imagine "I'm not a baby!" retorts) Isn't it good for them?
dottywine
Does "hippie" school mean they are like pro-nudity or something? The children are in the house. They show the kids are in a room watching tv and hanging out in the house before they skinny dip. Even if the house is massive, it's not normal to do that. Like you wouldn't even risk it. They are children so you never know what shenanigans they would be running around and getting up to. And the windows in their home is HUGE. You can see several rooms have several large windows that look over the pool. And the man hides his sons' eyes but then uncovers them as they pass by the woman he was "shielding" them from. So kind of implying that its impolite to be looking, but not really a big deal.
I wanted the cultural explanation, not some fake apologist rationalization. It's not normal in many parts of the world so it's obviously just a bit of a different culture. I'm not saying its bad.
Just wanted to hear from an actual northern european on the nuance.
If possible, train with someone who will truly get you to the next level. Solo practicing will not be enough at this point. And no matter what, don’t stop dancing because the worse case scenario is just semi-pro which is also fulfilling.
