Blueprints are binary files that is a mess to work with across a team. Angelscript solves most of that by having a cpp-like scripting language. Many studios has invented their own layer to not have to touch blueprints for code so it's just natural that epic is trying to solve that.
There's nothing stopping anyone from building their own visual scripting tool/language as a plugin if needed.

Joe right about this

Serious question though, how do you filter out quality games from slop? My understanding is that the site checks if there's an ai disclaimer or not. That would invalidate any game that uses machine translations and have it disclosed

Got some nice Willy Beamish vibes in the gfx!

It's funny I've said this exact thing for years now. There will be banners popping up on games labeling them as artisinal. People will accept bugs and other issues just as some accept flaws in beer from microbreweries, oddities in hand crafted items etc.
Would be quite nice actually with such a movement.

Although this is the (imho) bad argument to make. If we only base it on quality: AI sucks because the quality is bad, then the whole argument is lost when/if quality becomes indistinguishable from human made.
Just as a lot of coders said up until recently "I'll never touch AI, it produces crap code". Nowadays it produces excellent code and that argument is gone.
I think if we want to have an honest discussion about generative AI then we need to talk about what impact it has on our world and if we want the change or not and how we deal with it.

A year is an eternity in the AI domain. The latest Claude models are pure witchcraft and can cook up anything.
They happily chew up all compiler errors and iterate until they are gone, provide refactoring suggestions and finish it off with an interactive slide show of what it did and next steps.
Not saying that I enjoy it but if last year's models were juniors then these modern versions are senior wizards.

Brilliant idea and lovely execution with the style, design and audio effects.

Super cute with a lovely art style

You already got a lot of good advice. This is how I'm doing it for the projects I'm working on.
First, I'm a programmer who wants to write more. That's why I wanted my few hours if spare time to be writing the narrative, not write code, and started writing everything in markdown documents and linking them together. Over the time I found a structure that fit my type of writing where I could annotate the text with dialogue, event etc. I would eventually make a parser to construct a graph of all scenes, dialogue lines, events, props etc etc.
TL;DR everything is a graph at the end, find a way that makes you get into flow when writing that graph.
Best of luck!

Guess it's because any multiplayer outpost would require specific servers for that. Walkable outposts seem to be worked on though according to some interview.

The houses are Norwegian. I would have guessed Sweden or Norway just from the houses alone. The white newly built house is a standard Scandinavian house, the red house with white trim and the yellow house are seen everywhere in Norway/ Sweden.
Edit: also the chairs

Oh I know very well what a metaphor is. It's when describing something using symbolics and similarities between two or more things to describe something. You didn't write a metaphor, you wrote a logical dependency between two subjects that belongs in different domains.
droidballoon
What you wrote is a fallacy in itself as the two are not equatable. They belong to different logical groups.

Being burnt out is the same as being ill. It's different for everyone. Some people get serious depression, anxiety. Some can't eat, some cant function and some even dies. It's utterly horrible.
droidballoon
Sure but they aren't harmless. Especially now as they pick up in intensity and frequency
droidballoon
Harmless you say? More than 5000 people died in Europe this summer from the heatwave. Even if you're arguing that the climate change is "natural" or human made you should not disrespect the profound dangers of a changing climate. Wait a few years and we might have millions of people migrating to non-drought areas.
