To the mod: https://www.wired.com/story/ice-detention-center-911-emergencies/

And this is not a hit piece, but from a disenfranchised and angry constituent who contacted one of the senators caseworkers.

They sent someone to take her testimony, they didn’t write anything down.

I’m a lifelong Democrat, and I just realized that we are on our own on this one. What’s happening at these detention centers is tenfold from what happened on prior administrations. We’re two steps away from becoming Auschwitz.

The problem here is oversight, we should see our democratic leadership staging marches, every day on the news talking about this, instead of being politically careful with this issue. This is a concentration camp.

It’s not about the purpose, it’s the meaning behind the purpose, there isn’t one. Your belief is right but it is not something magical or spiritual, we are after all animals, programmed to live just not by choice.

Don’t make the same mistake Christians do with atheists, trying to push “beliefs” as a basis for a rebuttal. In the grand scheme of things we are meaningless. Just sentient being satisfying our need for dopamine and pheromones, perhaps that is the purpose or meaning you are talking about, but it is meaningless to romanticize animalistic desires

I never looked at nihilism as a “stage” or “level” in my life. About a decade ago I lost someone very close to me and had to also make decisions about the remains. Since then, I embraced nihilism not only as a philosophy but as a way to cope with death.

Since then, I function like a normal adult on my day to day life, I seem to others like a conservative “god fearing” individual but I am not, to me none of this matters.

In the end, everyone will grieve us for a few months, then forget us and move on. The only thing we can do, is live as an act of defiance and take a front seat at the freak show.

Las Chilenas, me case con una hace 23 años y seguimos juntos. Desde el extranjero ella me hace sentir en Chile

Love doesn’t exist, it’s a cocktail of dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin, oxytocin and vasopressin.

So whether you loose “faith or not” it is not up to you but a chemical process that enhances an experience when you meet someone who triggers this reaction.

I don’t believe in you nor you deserve my soul, now send me back to the great void.

Does this really matter? GenAI moves exponentially, these guys take years to legislate on the most common sense issues. Hence these policies will be inapplicable by the time they pass any bills

Beautiful, chef's kiss. However, I feel that in some aspects it may have been manipulated or "selected" to support your bias.

I love the fact that you analyzed my posts just because I made one sentence comment, here is an analysis from our friend ChatGPT (I don't edit or change the bias of the question)

https://preview.redd.it/i5j2sb4f50pb1.png?width=869&format=png&auto=webp&s=2c7c61ab5f449437163cb1faee3605141f886daa

Language and Tone Analysis

The analysis recognizes a dichotomy between casual language and proper grammar, suggesting that dsalvat1 is both carefree and cautious in their communication. This could signify a complex interplay between their public persona and their intellectual pursuits.

Interests and Beliefs Analysis

Your analysis identifies strong ideological leanings and various interests, like politics and technology. While this is insightful, it also risks categorizing the individual too rigidly. People often have complex and even contradictory views that may not be easily captured through a textual analysis of online comments.

Social Interaction Style Analysis

The focus on confrontation and one-upmanship may be accurate, but we should also consider that these traits may be amplified in the somewhat anonymous, confrontational environment that online forums often foster.

Psychological Traits Inference

You've touched on potential narcissistic tendencies and ideological dogmatism. However, there's a risk of pathologizing normal, if not ideal, behavior. It's quite common for people to want to appear smart or morally upright, especially in public forums where they are judged by others.

Background Information Hypotheses

Making assumptions about someone's age, gender, and nationality based on online interactions is a slippery slope. These guesses are highly speculative and can be influenced by biases.

Conclusion

While your analysis is thoughtful and in-depth, it's crucial to remember that this is a snapshot of dsalvat1's life and personality as conveyed through a specific medium, which may or may not reflect their true self. Therefore, while your analysis provides a starting point for understanding this individual, it should be considered provisional. The essence of a person can rarely be captured fully through textual analysis alone.

No need, because of colonization, Chileans love Europeans, they see them as superior beings. You’ll be fine

Gen X'er checking in! I'm currently messing around with diffusion models on Warpfusion, and even using APIs and local LLM to set up chain prompts running quantized versions on my own CPU.

I've also turned to ChatGPT and Claude for debugging Python, sorting out bash scripts, and troubleshooting OS/Kubernetes issues. So, it's not all about age; it's a thirst for learning that keeps me going. The drawback is my 23 year old son finds me highly annoying because of my enthusiasm.

Just wanted to say, not all of us GenXers are stuck in our ways or acting like boomers. Sure, I've seen people my age settle into that "middle-aged adult" mindset (not wanting to learn anything new), but that's definitely not me.
