Saying "literally everything we know about them is because of Muslims" is simply not true. There are physical archeological evidences, inscriptions, monastic literatures, and papyri to name a few. If you're going to make absolute statements you have to back them up absolutely, and you can't.

Arabic scholars contributed greatly, but not "literally everything". Speaking in absolutes is counterproductive and makes you look just as ignorant as someone saying they contributed nothing.

Absolutely nothing I said was cavalier about the drug. In fact, it is a serious matter that warrants much concern. Fentanyl cannot enter anyone's body, police officer or not, unless it has an entry point or is formulated to do so and even then it is nearly impossible to receive a large enough amount quickly enough to OD - this is fact. It is extremely important that this is understood, because fear mongering often prevents or delays treatment.

It is a very potent drug that can and will kill people - and people die when treatment is delayed.

You cannot OD from simply touching fentanyl, it has to enter your body, unless you have an open wound where you make contact. Prescription patches are engineered to allow the drug to cross the skin, but it takes a long time, so simply touching the patch would not do anything.

The fear mongering over ODing just being close to this drug is bad because this irrational fear can stop someone from helping an OD victim.

Unless this new drug is airborne, no one is going to OD from proximity.
