A week is pretty early for how to move forward. Especially with work involved on his end. I would imagine it would be how to cut off connection to the AP. You likely need to consider what you need for any reconciling to occur, terms for him etc. it’s early so try to do things st your pace. It can be a real roller coaster.

That sucks man I’m sorry. Sex is just one aspect of a loving relationship and environment. It’s higher up on the needs (Maslow) scale and doesn’t make up for other things. A friend and equal partner in life being a few of those things.

I think you’ve reached your conclusion for now and it’s wise. Maybe someday down the road when you’re both older but this has many issues if you were to try to reconcile now. Especially if you’re not married and without kids involved.

It’s also called monkey branching. But they definitely exist depending on the situation. Most times it is more to establish a sense of self worth before leaving but there’s many reasons people do this whether it’s emotional or physical cheating or both.
