EA Sports doesn’t report sales for NHL games (shock) but here’s an interesting fact: NHL games have actually increased in popularity the past few years in their key market (Canada).

NHL24 finished as the #4 game in Canada for the year it was released, while NHL25 was #3 and NHL26 was #2.

What’s even more frustrating: 73% of EA’s revenue comes from live services (for NHL that would be things like HUT).

So EA is making far more money on NHL27 than they did on the game 10 years ago, more people are buying it, and despite all that they still ship out flaming hot garbage.

TL;DR—yes, people continue to complain and yet they buy this pile of crap. If you stop buying it they might improve it, but if you keep buying it they definitely don’t have any reason to.

In most trades the general rule is “whoever gets the best player wins the trade.” In redraft it’s very common to see people package two mediocre players to get one high-end asset.

You can always shoot your shot but I wouldn’t bother with this unless my roster was really missing something, and I’m assuming you just had the draft so that other manager likely has no reason to move Henry.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they give someone else a shot 10-12 weeks in but yeah it’ll depend on whether or not the team is competitive. Vegas odds are 8.5 wins so they’ll probably be frustrating and mediocre.

Rodgers’ arm is unfortunately toast. His aDOT last year was like #42 of 44 qualifying QBs.

Gonna be a LOT of dump offs to Warren but Pittman’s area of the field should lend itself to getting targets. I suspect he’ll have an upside Khalil Shakir type season. Good possession PPR play. Quiet but reliable.

DK Metcalf is going to be an afterthought—not because of his talent but because Rodgers just genuinely can’t throw the ball accurately more than about 10-15 yards downfield.

Seriously—having a couple guys playing back to back to back soft defenses in good weather or domes during weeks 15-17 is such a huge edge in H2H leagues. If you’re locked in for the playoffs in a dynasty league, target those mid-range assets with juicy playoff runs.

You’re probably right. Fable was another gem. I guess I remember certain vistas from KOTOR and the scale of the game being the part of that left me awestruck. Like the sunset on Korriban and the endless rolling Dune Sea.

Game’s been out for almost half a decade. Most invaders encounter nothing but gank squads or overpowered phantom babysitters. Twinking is effectively required at low levels.

Don’t get me wrong Johnson’s a fine rookie pick in the third but don’t dog your leaguemates for letting him “fall to you” when the person that let him fall to the mid-third was you.

Fairly accept for me. Downgrading from Gibbs to Amon Ra isn’t that drastic. #1 overall player versus #9.

You get a top 5 RB in return to create a Thanos Endgame team. Fantasy is about winning championships. You’re downgrading from the RB1 to the WR3 for one of the best RBs in the game and you have players like Adams and D Henry on your squad. Win a ship.

Doubt it. I tend to only buy NHL when there’s big updates to Be a Pro (my favorite mode) and I don’t see a lot about 27 that will update that mode.

Man, there’s so much risk there. My biggest hang up is that I like Brooks but I think Chuba will eat into his workload AND the Panthers have an absolutely awful schedule / Offensive line.

That’s what I’m considering. Our old rules have FA pickups into 3 years but I’m not sure it’s even worth it messing with their setup manually.

All of LT’s features look great but a couple things I haven’t been able to nail down.

- Can you as the commish change a player’s contract cost and salary at will? Like if LT’s franchise tag options don’t fit into our current rules, can you just manually make the player’s contract 1 year and whatever cost you as the commish want?

- On that topic—Can you change a free agent’s contract to 3 years? Seems like the current LT rules only allow FAs to get picked up on 1 year deals but in our league it’s 3 years on their FAAB pickup. Is that possible?

Any other hangups or annoyances you’ve found? The league is interested and I’m absolutely so sick of Sleeper.
