Unfortunately my parents think I’m making a bad choice being vegan and cutting out added sugars completely. They think my children need meat and added sugar as well. So they shun my decisions to keep myself and my children healthy and eat what God intended us to eat. They say I’m depriving my children. I try to teach them about all of it but they genuinely think I’m stupid. Growing up my mom legitimately told me that vegetables have no nutritional value and would pour heaps of sugar onto fruit before serving it to us. She is so uneducated and unwilling to learn, it’s frightening.
