You just hate him because he's successful and you don't agree w/ his view points. Your comment history shows you are more than ok with pushing your own agenda 🤷‍♂️

Microsoft is also directly involved in the conflict, like using their AI tools to pick out targets for the israeli's to go and kill. Sony would have to do some ultra shady bullshit to even be on that list in the first place

echoblade

This is the same company that did a twitter poll to see if their audience wanted to make the Xbox branding in all caps btw. So you should take what you see in surveys as something that is actively being talked about internally

echoblade

In the case of minecraft it's removing support from the current platforms, i.e. not updating the game any further. maybe de-listing it from those platforms. This isn't a playstation good xbox bad. This is them taking an existing game that's always at the top of the sales charts and has been for years and taking it away from those platforms to appease rabid fanboys.

It's just a stupid decision.

Oh i'm aware, but I find it a little worse than trump is the kind of person to put out those kinds of puff pieces while still in office. It's worse to me when it's the current dude in power or a whole ass country (i.e. israel) putting out propaganda pieces on streaming services / tv right next to current programming ya know.

Obama doing it after he's left office, while a little cringe is something that can be ignored as he isn't the bloke in charge. for me it flips when it's all motivated by the current dipshits in charge and the paramount merger is entirely motivated by the current dipshits in charge to make it a full on propaganda machine.

Like how utterly insane is it that trumps close friends just went and bought one of the largest news outlets (CNN), dude is legit collecting state run media at this point and that part is the scary part.

echoblade

Hard mode is in for launch, you don't need to worry about being over leveled. Just set it to that and you'll be fine from what I read.

echoblade

Not in the same way sadly, if disney released their own film that was just "trump is so great, here's a 3 hour feature film on why trump is the bestest president ever" then sure it would be on the same level. but that's what paramount is doing w/ their support of israel.

echoblade

Sorry to break it to you but there will be more layoffs and cost cutting for those studios due to this merger.

echoblade

No, this is a company that actively broadcasts state propaganda from israel and places it right next to your uncle watching star trek. While also wanting to buy WB to take over CNN and other news channels, the two motives are not the same in the slightest.

It's literally being turned into state run media at the behest of Trump, and that's kinda really bad no matter what side you're on.

echoblade

This is gamestop lol. I fully expected this bullshit as they absolutely want to make bank with GTA6 coming up.

echoblade

The pathfinder taunting you with the "you got the ending you wanted, right?" is honestly one of the coolest things. Being a dd1 old head and realising that the godsbane wasn't used up til that point and that clicking? loved every second of it. Genuinely bold to let a game with that big of a budget potentially end with a sour taste in peoples mouth.

10/10 Itsuno-san, no notes.

Some context for ya on how it happened, the game at the time wasn't really made to last more than a couple of years at best so they had to make some pretty hard choices for file size and to stop the game from breaking.

Before the update that did the major engine overhaul (i.e. the vaulting update) the game on console really was performing like utter dogshit and their ability to patch it was getting harder by the update. I'm not saying vaulting content was the right call btw, but to me at the time it def felt like "we don't have the man power to update all of the content and fix the game for active players and create new content"

As an active (ish) player still, I do wish we never had to lose that content in the first place so newer players had a lot to play and enjoy. It didn't stop them bringing some* of the content back over time but i'm glad its happening so you have the majority of the content to play through.

With what looks to be a skeleton crew just the campaigns is really the best we could hope for. Can only hope this is successful enough that they're allowed to go further in the future and preserve those stories but taking it one step at a time is for the best imho

echoblade

there's a decent chunk but it's not 95%, like I can't expect them to bring back everything with what's likely a skeleton crew and needing to make sure those old systems work and new, returning or lapsed (like yourself) players can access them all in a pretty coherent way.

Even just the campaigns alone is a major undertaking as you now have to remake the director, make it make sense to new comers. have some kind of way to tell what order to play them in and how content unlocks over time. So many major questions that have to be ironed out.

So while i would like the stories in those seasons to be accessible in some way, with how all of those seasons are structured and how they're all different. I'm ok with them not coming back just so the teams workload isn't the size of 20 mountains and only 5 mountains.

echoblade

That's now what seasons are in D2, think of them as mostly episodic content releases lol

echoblade

Right then lads and ladies, arguing about small balance changes and mis-reading lore entries is back on the menu! never thought I'd see the day. Good to have our home back.

echoblade

Sony hasn't done anything about the private servers and modding of destiny yet and that's far more public. This one was entirely on the mod maker putting a target on his back, i do agree w/ nintendo though as they are incredibly protective.

echoblade

You'd be surprised at how stupid gamers can really be when they don't have a leash telling them exactly where to stand lmao. I once had a dude in a co-op game complain it was too difficult as he wasn't guided and told exactly what to do, in a fairly small area with a large cave full of infinitely spawning enemies that dropped giant golden balls on death.

Dude spent like 30 minutes not going anywhere near it, bitching up a storm to the point where me and a friend just left. some people truly want to be led by the nose and told exactly what to sniff.

echoblade

My issue with the post is that you're leading people on to assume it's only that to jump on the bandwagon for reddit karma. If you're gonna be informative at the very least show what all of them are like so people round these parts can be properly informed.

These eula's have basically been in place for like 15+ years at this point, its all been in plain sight from all of these companies. either you care about consumer rights or you're part of a bandwagon for clout, your pick dude.

echoblade

My issue is that it's software was a whole, you will have to tackle the likes of microsoft as a whole, adobe etc. it's a far wider reaching issue.

I'm pretty sure there's some court case in the past where the legal precedent has been set by these mega corps long ago and there's bugger all that's been done since. it's entirely in their favour, they all know it. No one is going to have enough money to take on any of these companies.

echoblade

I'd recommend just changing the title to be more comprehensive and not just focused solely on sony. or add in like any of this to the main post so more people are informed and not just railing on sony alone for shite digital rights.

echoblade

This list is why I find people performatively going "i'm just moving to pc, valve would never do this" to be a little ridiculous. The fight should be pushing for not shit digital rights for all not hating on the boogie man of the week :v

echoblade

I see Paul has his rent is due again, I wonder if bungo goes for good he'll go homeless xD

echoblade

Dude i'm not gonna lie, I have no idea what point you're trying to argue. Raid and dungeons were a major selling point and what made the games different to stand out against other standard FPS at the time. VoG with its mix of puzzle and combat with ultra minimal direction was THE stand out thing.

A live service game lasting for 12 years is not a failure by any means. Lasting through 3 console generations is not a failure.

Please make a point that's more intelligent than "lol game failed" cause you likely died in a strike more than two times cause you couldn't see an objective marker for more than 4 seconds at a time.

echoblade

There were enough port crystals to be had by exploring to place one in each major location and more with excess. Placing port crystals is the point of both games :v
