Botanical gardens is good option a the moment. Ungeni bird park, Beachwood mangroves, the nature trail at Umhlanga, and as others have said, Kloof and Everton.

This is very cool and a perfect example of how vibecodong can actually be good for humans

These are fantastic! What camera setup do you use?

Just finished up a walking tour, bumped into other colleagues with their own guests. While Durban has been in the news for the wrong reasons lately, it has a fascinating history, good food, lots to do and is no where near as bad as some make out - if it wasn't, people wouldn't book tours with me or my colleagues.

Just walked through the city center with 8 guests from the UK, no issues. Walked Warwick markets, from Victoria market through to the English market and back, no problems. Walked around city hall, no problems. Loads of people on the beachfront, cyclists, walkers, surfers etc, no problems. What needs to be sugar coated about walking the beachfront on foot? Thousands do it daily without issues.
eigersa
Nonsense. Loads of people on the beachfront this morning, normal police presence.

I've conducted waling tours of Durban since 2010, and I'm not alone, other operators offer the same walking tours. Never have I or any of my guests had a issue. Many years ago a female tourist was murdered in CT, should we all avoid CT now? And do how many tourists are in Durban currently!? I am picking several this morning for a city tour, my colleagues have their own tours which they are running. I don't think you really know what you are talking about.

That's aong drive to Cape Town via the coast. You planning going through eSwatini? Your best bet it to drive to Durban and fly to PE and continue from there. Driving along the coast to CT means either going via Kokstad (the better option) or via the Wildcoast which I would avoid due to poor roads.
eigersa
Nothing wrong with the CBD. I run walking tours on a regular basis and walked through the city twice this week include the Warwick markets area without any drama. If you're walking along the beachfront, you'll be joining a few 1000 others doing the exact same thing without issues.

I hire from Sani car hire, I believe they are the most affordable.
eigersa
I think it'll be much of a muchness. At least on the N roads you're cracking along at 120km and not slowing down every km for goats, speed bumps and cows.
eigersa
It sucks, but you're better off using the N3 and N2. So from St Lucia to Durban to Nambiti and then back to Durban and onto eSwatini. The road from Ladysmith to Vryheid is undergoing loads of construction, lots of single lanes with no overtaking.
eigersa
May I ask how you made these? Blender or similar? How long did it take you? They really are fantastic!
eigersa
I drive Sani a lot as a guide, you can catch a taxi into Lesotho, they are supposed to be 4x4, but not all are, police rarley check these days. Most tour operators will happily take you up and leave you at the pub if that's what you want.
eigersa
Where in Durban was this taken? I know the city well, I run tours in the city on a weekly basis and I've never come across this building. Is it outside the city?

No CEO should ever earn more than 10x the lowest employees salary, finish and klaar.

Concourt ruled that illegal foreigners have the right to have thier applications heard, it is not an automatic right to asylum.
eigersa
I run tours there all the time, feel free to pm me. Alternatively, google the Warwick Market Association, they have guides that will take you through and explain everything.

The TV licence includes radio.

This is hurting. I do around 10,000km's every 6/8 weeks. I either have to drastically up my product prices (which I'm loath to do) as take the hit and hope the next few weeks things improve.

Durban has loads of amazing beaches to swim. The main beaches of Durban, Umhlanga and Mdloti, further norrth at Ballito or Shaka's Rock. And since it's the Indian ocean, the water is pretty warm. Oyster Box is great for honeymooners but there are many options depending on your budget and what you want to be doing. On top of that your then only 3 hours away from many big 5 safari parks, or the Drakensberg Mountains.

So the damage could have occurred between you leaving the vehicle and their inspection? That's on them. Essentially it's your word and against theirs. The question comes down to, were you instructed to leave the vehicle there? It may seem like you're trying to avoid responsibility if you were supposed to leave the vehicle at the car hire office so they could inspect it your presence.
eigersa
Were you not present with the inspection? Usually the inspection happens when you return the car.

Advertise on GetYourGuide or ToursByLocals as a a English/French speaking guide, with the amount of tourists visiting, I'm sure there is a need. Good luck.
Go on the weekend when Ezemvelo staff are working. There are usually loads of people around then.
