I think that it's good you are spending time with primary source documentation, and I'm glad that you wanted to dig deeper once LLMs were struggling

Remember there are a bunch of other manuals to read even when LLMs have trained on them!

I said presumeably this is about Nan inequality, you said 'It's not', so I didn't know if you had read the notes

But are you dissenting on the idea that this is good for correctness?

eightrx

From the release notes:

Handle Floats Correctly in mem.eql and mem.findDiff

The functions std.mem.eql and std.mem.findDiff short-circuit when their two inputs are slices to the same memory. This short-circuiting is only correct when the == operator, for the given type, is reflexive. This isn't the case for floats, as for example std.math.nan(f64) != std.math.nan(f64). The change in this PR disables that optimisation when working on float slices

Or are you saying it's not necessary for correctness?

eightrx

Presumeably this is because nan != nan for IEEE floats, so as far as correctness is concerned it might be necessary

eightrx

Damn I had bought the early access subscription in anticipation for a full release, upsetting

Thanks for open sourcing

eightrx

I didn't vote for this

Fair, a more explicit way of putting this would be:

Given an inner product space, and an invertible linear transformation T, the span of each element in the image of T has a unique compliment space, that has a null element (like all subspaces)

When put formally it doesn't really say that much I just wanted to say something about planes crossing through the origin

eightrx

Very reductive, in linear algebra, linear transformations of basis vectors are perpendicular to planes that pass through the origin

eightrx

Thanks for the transparency, also the quick & meaningful ways that's you're resolving this.

How consolidated is the cannabis market nationwide or in the state you operate in?

I've heard of 'big corporate cannabis', are most jobs with bigger companies, or are smaller suppliers also competitive?

What would be the different working for a smaller vs bigger company in your role?

I generally find his takes on software to be refreshingly authentic, even if brash at times. Care to expand?

I know startup time is generally an unimportant metric for productivity, but it is still what is keeping me using foot over ghostty

'Underlying mechanism' but no group theory references or pullback diagrams. Smh

Wild if DHH is the reason that Linux on Apple silicon gets enough funding to become usable, but that will have to be seen down the line

This amount of outside money feels destabilizing when there are so many quality projects out there that get minimal donations

Sarcasmitron is fantastic. His videos are very dense and informative but the themes are really good

Horribly embarrassing

Renting out mini stalls would have also meant revenue being created from this property for the city

I was hoping they'd turn it into a marketplace/independent vendor space to have something like farmers market going every day

Alas, art museum it is

I'd probably want to learn QT with rust bindings, even if it's less first party than other frameworks
