If you are currently on the Meropide section of the Fontaine AQ, you will probably need to finish it to complete this quest. Other Meropide quests like Wrio’s SQ might make it behave strangely as well.

Well, the X-02 myth is pretty on the nose with it already. Him being the “Eve” figure that was created to support her is a part of their story that I love, and same with their escape and the fruit seed (and knowledge) he gives her.

I don’t think an actual bible-inspired story is likely for reasons that go beyond how tricky selling that in places like the US might be… though I suppose his is the relationship that’s been the most altered by translation so who knows lol. I do feel like changing what they’re escaping from (turning “scientists that created them” into “god that created them”) would muddy things a bit (especially as he contrasts Zayne). Turning them into the actual biblical figures vs leaving them as an allegory also opens up a necessary “having babies together” discussion that the game has so far been really good at avoiding overall.

The netting in the background makes me nervous that we really might get the long-rumored pirate story for him though. I’ve been really really hoping the legend of the white snake theories are the ones closer to being correct lol

I haven’t yet done the specific quest you’re talking about, but Ixlel (or at least the explanatory subtitle that appears above her dialogue) mentions Ajaw by name as a “lost colleague in rulership”. And I think she’s CL-09?

EDIT: There’s more speculation on it in this comment thread on the lore subreddit. (Tl;dr he’s almost certainly CL-04.)
