Lol I actually did too

Nice, hope they're working out

Did you ever make a purchase? I've got the ORA4s and I love them but I wish they had the functionality of the M90.

Congrats! They're legends for a reason. If you can swing it, look for a used Nitsch Piety, which can often be found for around $100-$115. Running that from an apple dongle would be more than sufficient (which you can buy first and it will already be an upgrade from your laptop jack). It's more cash than the Moondrop but you'll be in heaven.
Honestly, I have been into headphones for 15 years and have much more expensive gear but an HD650 plugged into a Piety is what's on my nightstand. Musical bliss. Take your time and enjoy your audio journey!

YAXI HD25 Comfort Earpads are a huge upgrade for the Sennheisers. Definitely worth the $40 if you already have the headphones and like the sound. Really comfortable.

Dead thread but if anyone is still trying to make this decision- YAXI HD25 Comfort Earpads are a game changer for the Sennheisers. I can't imagine wearing them with the stock pads but the YAXIs have way more cushion and make them super comfortable.

That's the exact reason Denon D2000's hooked me on the hobby back in the day, headphones were an escape. Closed backs stayed my go-to choice for a long time.

It's more appropriate to just refer to him as "a Florida man"

Needed this, thanks! This app is a game changer!

Perfect, thanks!

How is he completely dry at the end?

Wow beautiful setup and cool project. I'm considering trying this on my SL61, any idea how much putty/epoxy was used for each key? Were you able to do all 61 keys with one pound of expoxy?

You're obviously already getting serious results but your shoulders will be happier in the long run if you can increase your scapular protraction and push out of a more "hollow body position"

My first thought

Just try holding the pick more a little more gently/ loosely and relaxing your whole wrist, arm and shoulder. You can also try holding the pick at slightly different angles to the strings until you find a sound you like. Only thing that matters is if it sounds good to you
el_pollo_dos
Nice, you can’t go wrong.

Are you going with dots or blocks? Dots with cream would be my choice but, if you decide blocks, nickel could be good

People could take his place but no one could replace him. He is probably the most respected figure in the snowboard world and for good reason.

I took a nap and when I woke up the same Japanese kid was still rotating.

I'm also running this same Modius E > Pietus combo and loving it.
I haven't done any ABing so I won't make any claims as to actual sound improvement but just in case you're looking to fall deeper into the rabbit hole:
I'm using some weird XLR to RCA cables that I built so I could use the balanced output on the Modius E. I read so often that the balanced outputs sound better and the consensus seems to be that it has to do with the op amps and not the balanced signal. The two outputs uses different op amps and the higher spec parts were used in the signal chain expected to be used by people with more expensive, balanced amps. Vanishingly thin return on investment? Possibly. If you're using this setup for a while and enjoying it you might feel like investing another $20-30 more into it and find some of these cables or get someone to build you a pair.
I haven't thought about another amp since I put this rig together, hope you enjoy your setup!

My nephew's been cooking a lot and I just bought him a 24cm Misono Swedish (dragon). I was amazed at how much more nimble it is than the Tojiro DP that I also started out with. It's so much thinner behind the edge and the taper is great. The spine and choil we fairly sharp OOTB but, overall, the fit and finish are better than most japanese knives I've had and, as someone else said, the patina does give it a classic feel. All that and it's a pleasure to sharpen. I've upgraded to nicer knives but I got that Misono for only $125 and it really is a beautiful workhorse of a knife. (I don't love supporting Bezos but that price is still available on amazon.)
The Tojiro is of course a nice knife and still very serviceable but, if you enjoy spending time at the board and have the budget, it's a fairly modest investment for something you might well be using daily for the next 20 years.

I built two 6" xlr to rca cables so I could use the balanced outputs on my modius e to feed my pietus. Even though it's ultimately single ended I still get the benefit of the balanced outputs' opamps and I wasn't really able to AB but it sounds great. If you don't build cables yourself, you could order something similar custom from somewhere like performance audio.

Beautiful. The simple handle really suits it.

Yaxi pads are much more comfortable than the original. I can't remember exactly how much they improve the sound but they are a huge improvement in comfort.
Really helpful review, thanks
