That's chipboard with the pattern of the underlay on it.

Chipboard, unless treated to be waterproof, absorbs moisture so will retain odours from fluid spills, however replacing it is more expensive.

The chipboard is basically your "floor boards" (but cheaper, and common under carpets in newer houses).

Fitting an access panel seems like the sensible solution - there are circular slip in versions which would work perfectly here without anymore cutting or touchups etc.

Between Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm you must be a resident with Permit B to stay more than 2 hours.

Without Permit B you get 2 hours continuous parking, after which you must leave at least 1 hour gap before returning, potentially for a further up to 2 hours.

At any other time, so the weekend, or after 6pm, before 8am you can stay without restriction.

It's not a zero day - some group is targeting existing vulnerabilities seemingly en masse today.

Europe is not on fire. France had a few nights of it's traditionally French protests in some towns. Nothing abnormal.

As it only has one connection it must be an antenna of some kind.

If it had two, I would have said mirror demister (and the zig zag trace being a resistor which warms slightly).

It's shouldn't be done, but just is in a handful of places out of the millions of owners. I'm sadly still running DSM 6 - not proudly, just because.

No, they don't yet have a contract, so have to ensure that the person understands what they are signing up to. Reasonable assistance does not include contacting or providing a translator. Informal translators (family members) are discouraged as you may be influencing them to take out a contract without them really understanding it.

There is no course of legal action here, the store acted within the options available to them.

Companies can choose to refuse business to anyone they like, as long as it is not for a discriminatory reason. That does not appear to be the case here as there are concerns on whether the individual understands the contract being entered into.

As a UK reader, I cannot understand how 'y'all' accept this :/

There is the possibility it was exfiltrated from your account at the time. All companies, including Amazon (Blink / Ring etc.) have had issues with this some years ago and addressed in various ways (encrypted storage, 1st line support requiring user permission flags etc.) Unfortunately it will be tricky to tell.

Generally with cases like this it's better to report to the authorities (who generally can't do anything) and then ignore. Plenty of ways to generate such footage using AI or editing skills that it's easily denied or waved off.

There are also the usual email scams where random people are contacted to say their webcam / CCTV was compromised and they need to pay x to have the footage deleted. In general terms that footage doesn't exist and it's not a personal invite to you, and can also be ignored.

I had this. I got damp rising from that spot and had to chisel it out and lay wood and plywood instead. I would recommend the same rather than sand/cement on the top.

With the law you need to remove emotion. Here, as others have said, your neighbour needs to deal with their insurers. Their insurer may come back to you if they find that you were negligent. However in this specific case, with bins outside, a known storm and their clients observation that the bins were already loose, you don't really have any liability.

I would not reply. If court papers are served, reply to the court and let it play out that way. Keep all correspondence and do not 'drop yourself in it' by replying without thought.

As always check your routers administrative logs for the affected cameras MAC addresses and see what RSSI and latency they are logging. It's more than likely the 2.4Ghz spectrum had congestion or interference locally.

It does not matter if you pay for the fastest Internet on the planet if the WiFi itself or 2.4Ghz around the cameras is poor quality.
