I was about 45 km north of Yellowknife. We were completely off the grid, no amenities of any kind, fully in the wilderness. I live in rural Ontario now :)

I lived off the grid without indoor plumbing until I was about 22. Its totally manageable for someone who is used to it but might be stressful if you're not. I also have a heavy flow and go camping etc on my period. I say bring wipes and change your tampon more frequently and you'll be fine!!

I used to leave when my partner had therapy. Yours should do the same for you. I'd go for a walk, sit outside at a park and read, play on my phone, whatever.
