Look in the PC error logs to see if anything stands out.

Are they running a particular other software at the same time as Office.?

It is a personality issue.

I has to do with the internal memory structure of the applications and how they work within the operating system environment.

It has always been that way for Excel.

If you are running multiple Excel worksheets in the same instance it is not an issue.

How are you opening Excel to be in separate instances ?

You cannot copy paste formulas between different instances of Excel, as one example.

An instance is a CPU process.

You can open Excel in the same, or a new, instance.

There is no clear subject matter in your post details.

It was a genuine curiosity, a learning for you.

Patronising is not the correct term in the manner you are applying it.

Sometimes making people reflect on their error, an error they did not see, helps to cement the idea in the mind.

You can use TEXTJOIN thusly

Remember to set your cell alignment property to Wrap text to see the effect of the line break character

when using * in comments, it is best to format as code, otherwise, as per your comment, italic formatting is the outcome and the mulitplication charcaters are not seen.

I found it! 7 months you waited to retort. A wasteful reply that does not help OP.

Questions like OPs are open ended to solutions and rarely end with Excel solutions.

Extracting data from pdf is not an Excel question, it is a pdf data extraction question.

However as this can also be a function of Excel users believe it to be an Excel issue. The line is thin and grey.

OP already opened the door to 3rd party solutions.

VBA is absolutely related to VBA Excel, but VBA is not Excel.

We are happy to accept VBA solutions when related to the Excel object model.

That is patently untrue, did you even try?

Your post is about failing to extract data from a different file format.

Did you try extracting the data via PDF software ?

Did you try simple copy paste of the data ?

If you can only extract poorly formatted data, then your questions should give clear examples.

Barely an Excel question.

Get a PDF read/writer to extract the data.
