6’3” with a 2025 transit 2500 mid roof and I have no complaints. The express van I had before made my legs uncomfortable on long drives.

It’s big because it’s carrying line voltage and has hysteresis components, plus it has to be water tight.

Right on 👍👍

I usually just try and find the oem shop manual for that model but I don’t have that one. I mostly have worked on older machines. If you can get a ratcheting wrench in there to tighten that transmission plate up that would be where would start.

Seems like the bearing or carrier is toast. I’d get that pulley off and see where the wobble originates. Under load your pulleys will be misaligned and cause excessive belt wear.

Works real hard to get good at sculpting. Makes sewage 🙃.

Lmao

Oh hell yeah. It should be fine tbh. My SAs are technically in a bigger box than they should be with lower tuning and I’ve had no issues. It will have lower power handling than it would at 1.0 cube but not by much. It will just hit xmax quicker because there is less resistance against the cone. But honestly it’s going to be a more linear sounding setup. I would model it for you in winISD but I’m gone for the weekend.

If you don’t get the desired results you’ll want to get that sub into a different box even if you have to jigsaw it out. Nobody seems to tune pre fabs low at all and you’re just gonna miss out on so much. I have 2 SA classics at 31hz and it’s still super boosted in the frequencies above that and starts to drop off hard at 29hz. Also if it’s any SA classic sub you’ll be able to give it double the power if you have clean signal and stable voltage.

Sounds like you’re operating on a lot of assumptions. You’d be upset if the dog sat next to you or if it had its own space lmao.

Thank you. Yeah I’m lead maintenance for a McDonald’s franchisee. Get up to a little bit of everything. Lots of HVACR these days.

expiredslimjim

Hell yeah. That would be awesome to have a big compressor. That’s the goal some day.

Just a basic copper tube aftercooler that goes into a brass filter dryer. It drains when the pressure switch unloads the pressure.

expiredslimjim

Been there haha. This pump has parallel threads so you need Teflon rope or sealant for them it’s frustrating. The tank fittings were a weird metric compression as well and I didn’t bother with the inlet one. I just brazed my copper pipe directly to the aluminum pipe of the old tank inlet.

No worries. The loops just ended up like that because that’s how many loops my random length of copper made around a propane torch cylinder haha. The dryer is just a cheap Amazon one but it’s been good so far.

Yeah I can take one when I get home. It could be quieter but I have two little 120v fans blowing on the coil and they’re wired into the pressure switch. And I don’t have the little intake hoses on the filters because they seemed too restrictive. It is definitely quieter than the McGraw compressor and the cfm seems better. The rated cfm on the vevor is 5.2 at 90psi but I’m not sure if that’s accurate.

expiredslimjim

Oh right on. Yeah it’s like a legit skill set to dig through Amazon these days for decent stuff.

expiredslimjim

Yeah basically. It goes to the tee first, then goes to the dryer inlet and the pressure switch unloader. That was the easiest way to plumb it.

expiredslimjim

Thank you. Thanks for sending that stainless line. I have some but it’s only 3/8s and I wasn’t finding great results for bigger diameter.

expiredslimjim

This would be ideal yes. I just didn’t want to spend the money. The goal was to use what I had lying around besides the pump itself haha. If the cfm was higher I would go for one of these. The copper is from a refrigeration line set left over from a remote condenser ice maker.

expiredslimjim

Yeah I have some scrap ac condensers from commercial fridges that I was going to use but the ID of the piping is too small. And I didn’t want to purchase an aftercooler because I was trying to keep the price low to justify not just buying a new compressor lol. So scrap copper is what I ended up with.

expiredslimjim

It works surprisingly well. I can hold the outlet of the coil with my hand and there’s a surprising amount of moisture in the dryer after.
