Yeah, even the fucking Amish get vaccinated. We should take a lesson and the willfully unvaccinated should be Shunned.

The headaches and mockery they could have avoided by saying 5 Gal in big numbers and "AFTER COLORANT IS ADDED"

If done right, we could have the best AI in the world because jail.

Tibby is a one-trick-narwhal, poor spaceman's Idris. Does a particular thing well for solo players and doesn't scale up as well with a crew.

Perseus has a minimum group size to be effective, but as long as it has shells in the chamber it can do an ungodly amount of damage across a lot of target types.

The stock market is just Kalshi for Illionaires

For the love of banu-god can we not get turrets with wonky behaviors that result in unintended crime stats

can we just fucking not?

how about blades just fire a little slower precisely because they've got nanny software that makes double damned sure they only fire at what you want them to

Costs power, more dps than solo, less dps than crewed.

Call a veterinarian...but not for me.

Once again we learn the time honored lesson: do not f*ck with squirrels.

Relatedly this same logic is why I get in so much trouble when I use the phrase "First Ex Wife"

Pretty sure I'd be in even more trouble if I referred to her as "The Great Ex Wife"

I sincerely hope the mission design team gives Centaurus owners a proper reacharound in 4.10.3 or 4.11

Cargo contracts are either half our hold or slightly too big for a single run.

Railen is phenomenal for cargo. Bounties...ehhh bring friends who fly things that can actually win the turn-rate contest?

Turrets are good at killing plenty of things.

Decently skilled and equipped players just aren't one of them.

feldomatic

Unfortunately no, there's some new issue with New Babbage (and so far only there in my experience) where all the elevator call buttons in the city become unresponsive for a player on that server.

You think "Hmm, server error incoming" but the error, and your elevator never arrive.

This game is old enough to drink and posts like this are the reason it totally would

feldomatic

By chance, did you buy -G variant missiles? Ground birds won't mount to same size slots on spaceships.

I eat Cool Ranch btw

(Sometimes also Spicy Sweet Cachy)

Easy...

There's people who follow Christ

And people who follow Christianity (Churches)

And the Churches have, with some exceptions, been following the false gods of Money and Power for quite some time.

Thank you o clarifier of...yeah i'm not sure of the right word that rhymes, but I'm with you, I wasn't expecting Nyx 1 in 4.10.3 That's a 4.x+1 at a minimum. I'm surprised Genesis isn't rolling out as 5.0 tbh.

feldomatic

Oh boy, does that mean AGI will be SuperDuperIntelligence?

feldomatic

Like, we're rightly suspicious these days, but that's textbook shitty old poorly calibrated touchscreen behaviour.

The fact that it seems to always be 3 tries to get a D vote is starting to make it sus.

feldomatic

This map business is starting to look like a particular Archer episode.

feldomatic

It's a paint tool if you hold it at arms length with your back facing a wall or object

Render me like one of your Nyxian girls Chris

I think they'd have to go up another VRAGE engine major version number to work out clown noses on spacesuits.

All praise the honkmother

If you just ignore scraping, the MOTH is one badass solo salvager. But I get it, some days you just want to reverse power wash, and that ship, well really across the fleet CIG has really cocked up scraping, but it's especially apparent with the MOTH.

It's strange that salvagers have head sizes, but last I checked, the Cinch, Abrade, and Trawler modules don't come in sizes, because they're technically modules

So to actually apply balance to these ships, they tied some multiplier for scrape rates into the hulls themselves, and the MOTH (I've owned one since it launched) just always feels dead ass slow, both in clearing a wreck and in the RMC yield you see in the hopper.

Seriously, it feels like the Vulture outscrapes the MOTH and the Fortune.

My Vulture was bought with aUEC, so I tried the Fortune after this year's big wipe. To me at least, both Fortune and Moth feel unsatisfyingly slow at scraping, but at least the Fortune brings home results, while the time to scrape a minimum viable 8 scu box in the MOTH is rather agonizing.

Shipmate! You have got to lead with this being the Onion in the headline...
