BRK.TO is on the TSX.

I think you failed to account for the difficulty of putting them beside the old plugs.

fenderstratsteve

Okay, good luck. My vote is for a battery that needs replacement.

fenderstratsteve

What’s the shape of your battery? Resting and Running voltage. When the battery is down it can often lead to these phantom errors.

fenderstratsteve

Same with my buddy’s S4. The beauty of capping it is seeing how much coolant has made its way to the vacuum system. And hoping you caught it in time… which you’ll find out.

fenderstratsteve

That’s why we’re here!

fenderstratsteve

You can’t make a flying Tesla that way, fwiw.

45% U.S. equity is probably enough for a global equity fund in my view. ZEQT has 50%, I believe. If I wanted more than 50% U.S. equity, instead of buying VFV on top, I’d just build my own funds and choose my desired percentage allocation. But that’s just me.

fenderstratsteve

A valid point. It does not increase diversification (net zero change), but increases U.S. equity concentration.

fenderstratsteve

My guess would be it’s coming from the oil filter housing. Is there any sweat from the drain plug? Oil pan is clean?

Also, between Min and Max could be normal use, depending on how many miles/kms you’ve gone since the last oil change. PCV is good?

fenderstratsteve

Agree – locking up your money for years makes little sense to me. The OP should buy a global equity ETF and a fixed income ETF and be done with it.

fenderstratsteve

It does not change diversification because VFV is already a component of XTOT/ITOT, which is the U.S. equity that XEQT holds. If you need to see S&P500 in the holdings, buy ZEQT instead.

fenderstratsteve

Both

Simplii has a similar app to CIBC (it used to be an old version of the CIBC app). I bet it still is under the covers, but they have now made the UI their own.

I use Wealthsimple for investing and I prefer to have two choices.

fenderstratsteve

Ditch your managed TFSA for XEQT and never look back. Just keep contributing toward the max room that you have.

fenderstratsteve

The simple answer is because I value High Temperature / High Shear (HT/HS) protection over superior fuel economy. A guy here or in the S4 forum got a Blackstone analysis done after an interval with 0w20 and 5w30, and the 5w30 showed better wear protection.

fenderstratsteve

It’s probably shaking at idle because of blown/leaking motor mounts. Assuming the engine is running well.

fenderstratsteve

That 2% difference over 10 years is either tracking error, fund construction, or both. They both track the S&P 500 index. VFV wraps VOO and ZSP is direct hold of the funds. But they are the “same basket”.

fenderstratsteve

VFV and ZSP track the same thing (S&P 500). Why both?

As for XEQT, it’s the cult-like global equity fund which is good for a slow burn when you don’t know which area market will prevail over time.

fenderstratsteve

Fuel dilution would be one of my main concerns. Never getting the car up to operating temperature for long enough to burn it off is not good. A good highway drive once a week is key.

fenderstratsteve

HBNK has a lower MER for the same thing. ZEB is old news, which is still the go-to for no good reason.

Page 307 of the 2017 manual (page 326 of the 2018 manual) states:

{Gasoline engine: VW 502 00 or VW 504 00.
(Note: this table is missing from the 2018 manual.)

Vehicles with gasoline engine: ACEA A3 or API SM with a viscosity grade of SAE 0W-30, SAE SW-30 or SAE 5W-40.}

0w30 is perfectly good, but I use 0w40 or 5w40 exclusively. Why risk 0w20 with the old rocker arm design? For clarity, I don’t think 0w20 causes rocker arm failure – it’s likely a number of factors – but it could aggravate it with the other conditions.

I also agree that ditching extended oil change intervals is a good idea – I’d change the oil twice as often as Audi suggests.

Baythorn Dante’s was peak.

Abruzzo is still good. I grew up around there and still return to get Abruzzo when I’m around. I will agree that I’ve had a soggy panzo before, which I don’t like, but the pizza is still good because the crust is unique. I do feel like they are not as good as in their heyday (when the restaurant was still open). Ricci’s is the only other place I know that does crust like that.

fenderstratsteve

I disagree. They are very good.

If you click on the number of shares you can see the old information. It’s now a modal. This is reminiscent of the failed scroll across to see Market Details.
