Something about watching Aus champs fight in Abu Dhabi makes me scared. I've spent too many disappointing mornings waking up at 3am to watch them lose

I'm trying to watch this and it is giving me an unskippable ad every minute. Literally unwatchable

I initially kept mine after the Paramount deal because I got the prelims and undercard still. But now those have moved to Paramount so I just have that.(Australian, have to buy the PPV on a different service).

Bro seems like he's just working a full time job. probably coaches at a local gym and fights local level talent. worse ways to make a living

Walk forward, cut lateral movement, throw more than 2 punch combos and aim at the chest

How tai is meant to fight
fergalopolis
He's doing super basic fat guy scrambles but tai is just that bad

I saw Hunter at the regional MMA the night before UFC 325. he came in for the final 3 fights and was flanked by what I could only assume were 2 shaved albino gorillas squished into UFC shirts.

depends on their wrist strength and how early I can intercept the hand. when they switch to the fist it's a lot harder to catch unless I can get in early and guide the fist in a downward angle so that it bends when I apply the pressure to the elbow.

I bait it and wrist lock them. I don't know what it's actually called I just call it hot pan defence because that's how they react. They grab their sleeve and as they work the choking hand into my neck I let it slide into my hand, secure the same arms elbow and apply the wrist lock.

They're doing this in Queensland and it's absolutely not affecting me in any way other than making things slightly safer because junkies and children are having their knives taken off them.
A guy at my local was playing the pokies and just happened to also have a hunting knife in his pants. Police were able to wand him and seize the blade. No need to worry about him sticking someone after he loses his money and stumbles out into the carpark looking for a fight.
If you think this is infringing on your rights you're retarded. The cops aren't there to finger you to check for knives. They literally stop you run a wand over you and ask you to present anything that is flagged. Do you also feel like your rights are infringed when you're stopped for a breathalyzer and licence check? Because if it means less chances of a drunk/ unlicenced driver behind the wheel then good. I'll take the 2 minutes of inconvenience over the preventable death of an innocent person

Close the distance, arm drag, map to back, secure seatbelt grip and hip bump takedown maintaining control of the top arm. From here secure side control or maintain control of the arm while standing. Get a kimura grip and spin around so their arm goes behind the back. From here hammer lock the wrist and tell them to put the other behind their back.

Isn't it ufc Sydney in feb

Nerf the mat return meta. Good to see Bautista able to escape repeatedly but the constant take downs is relentless

I think the most important real world application of bjj is pins. I often have to grapple someone resistive and my goals usually don't get knocked out > close the distance > take down > pin and control. It works every time however back up is only seconds to minutes away.
In the real world I'd imagine pinning someone until they realize they're beat and give up/ bystanders help restrain them. Alternatively don't get in a fight is absolutely the best self defense method

Jimmy crute by crippler cross-face as we all suspected
fergalopolis
We call that hitting boost and it's illegal for sweeps

The complete lack of discipline when it comes to grappling is so frustrating when it comes to these guys (tafa, tuivasa, hunt etc) I've heard from training partners that they just refuse to grapple and rely on movement and takedown defence. when it comes to grappling they just give up so quickly and offer nothing off their backs. Tuivasa went to AKA and learned nothing. just the laziest shit ever. and you cant use the excuse of a lack of wrestling in Australia because Volk, Whittaker and JDM exist

Rolling over in bed is now a series of hip escapes, any time I get up it's some form of tactical stand-up

I got headbutt in a drunken brawl and the same thing happened. After it healed I could breath way better, don't snore and cardio improved. Best worst thing that could have happened

I think the most important part of it is that it's created conversations in gyms about not being gross to female training partners. It goes without saying with some but others need to be reminded not to slide into DMS with a 'thanks for the roll"
Lost it when he hit the gayest "ow fuuuuhck" at the end
