I used a hero 616 (p51 clone) as my edc for the past 10 years. Because I no longer wrote much. I'd just suck up some water if it dried up before I could refill. It was fine.
I didn't use weird inks. Weird inks go in the take apart pen.

they don't know how anything works
And why should they? That's not their job.
ffrkAnonymous
I don't even see the rack

I also replied to a different comment with more details.
Install the nib and leave it. Pressing the flex nib to the feed will result in the nib spring back away when the pressure is released. In theory. Therefore, press only the hot feed to the nib. Of course , the feed needs to be held there until it cools . Maybe letting go too early is another issue .
I press the feed until the nib flexes open, then back off enough for the tines to close.

Yes, I got that. I was trying to explain a nuance according to what I was taught.
His description was squeeze the nib and feed together. But that's slightly different from what you said, "fit the feed to the nib". Which is also what I want him to try.

My browsers all auto update on their own.

I thought it was like a vanishing point and the nib pokes out. But ai is a better reason

Out of all my inks, only one has faded, the iron gall inks. And even those are still a legible brown, they're just no longer a pretty blue-black. And lots are not water resistant. But if your diary gets soaked, you have other problems like pages stuck and mold. And some inks are not light fast, but that's moot in a closed book. My opinion is that the best ink is the one you most enjoy using.

Then for 5-10 seconds I squeeze the nib and feed to try to get them to set closer to each other.
I was taught differently. Nibs don't set. Squeeze the nib and it will return when you let go. The solution is to only push the feed.
Will this fix your problem , I don't know. I had a pen that just would not seal and had to return it .

I'm a little confused . What style cursive? Or how? How is just practice. Same as learning anything. Make mistakes and fix them. Really simple. Not the same as fast nor effortless.
I'm learning Spencerian. It's beautiful. It's also slow and wide and inconvenient. I'm regressing to a business-hand which is plain.
I also have to practice the other styles: round, block print... Not sure I want to learn italic.

I just got a wingsung 601 and it's been great. The pump piston has beenmso convenient. What I don't like is the plastic is really slippery. I'm trying to use o lighter touch so maybe a blessing in disguise? And the pen holds so much ink. Or uses little. I'm like, I want to use a different ink. . .

If you get a fat rubber band or sheet of rubber, you might be able to remove the feed and refill despite being disposable.

the book bundles have been absolutely banger this year. not that i've read any of them... :p
ffrkAnonymous
Oh, so that's where I got tmnt. I was surprised I had it. I've been so focused on dead cells I forgot about all the others 😛

I passed on the discworld bundle. I gave in and got the discworld encore.

Keeping the water level fairly high at about the same height as the media in these first few weeks for it to establish
Does Betty's bay like the extra water? Because I bought a plug like six months ago and it never spread beyond the plug. (whereas Blanchetti is escaping out the bottom holes)
I had a plan to use utricularia "grass" to hold ping substrate together . That plan hasn't gone anywhere .

I have a few pens I've never inked, just dipped. But I didn't buy them either, they were free. And I'll never ink them because they're eyedropper fill and will never need that much ink in one pen.

Condolences. I lost two safaris that way.
ffrkAnonymous
I'm a grid person.
That said, I'm also cheap. So at the moment I'm using unlined with a guide under the copy paper.
ffrkAnonymous
I've heard that daiso pens are just poor quality pens.
You can do better with a disposable pilot varsity or platinum preppy. But dont dispose, learn to refill.
ffrkAnonymous
Start with pilot varsity, platinum preppy, zebra disposable. They work. They're cheap. They're dependable workhorse. You won't cry when they fall or get lost.

100 karma, 4 years
ffrkAnonymous
Do you use it? I found it fine in moderation, but writing a page hurt my eyes. And how are your pens?
ffrkAnonymous
Maybe it's just media selection, but I never hear swing voters ask why they should vote conservative. They only challenge liberal candidates.
I find it interesting that between the two books, some inks look the same and others look quite different
