you can't get mad at someone for replying to you in a public forum and then claim that they were not writing out their thoughts LOL these folks are right, you're just a hypocrite and an alt right troll

I'm definitely not going to be sending anyone to the VRC from now on as long as you're working there. I think I'm going to be sending them a screenshot of this thread... See what they have to say about how their employee is representing the vrc on social media...

Guess what, I'm autistic too! So, from one autistic individual to another, let's turn this into a learning experience:

In your original message, you came off as a supreme asshole. And if people are assholes to me, I'm not sunshine and roses in turn.

You did a real splendid job of making your first impression be the sort of internet arguer who's more concerned with how people say a thing than what they're saying, and thinks that people who use nonliteral language are less intelligent and capable of talking rationally (oh hey, that's ableism too!).

I'm not here to debate my use of metaphor in conversation. I'm not here to endlessly rephrase every figure of speech I use into literal language for your sake. I'm not here to get existential about some fucking made up other dimension a child's consciousness might exist in before birth.

I thought you were gearing up to be yet another asshole among dozens. Sorry I didn't, uh, idk, look in a crystal ball and have it tell me "this one's not actually a logic-worshipping asshole who's going to start saying you're stupid for using metaphors."

florist35u9

The part of my statement that you quoted means exactly what I replied. No more, no less.

If you really have that much trouble understanding metaphor and figurative speech, I suggest a remedial English course at a local community college.

florist35u9

That's entirely up to you. Do you want to address it directly and focus on managing it with your other symptoms? Or are you ok with knowing it's just a thing that happens?

florist35u9

I have had multiple bad experiences at multiple seamar clinics in vancouver. acting like they're all fucking paragons of perfection contributes nothing to the discussion and just makes me think they're paying you to say good things about them on social media.

However if we are progressing to making personal threats against me, I'm done with this conversation and I'm going to be bringing this conversation to the mods.

florist35u9

Sure, because the original post of vegan propaganda with no actual discussion related to antinatalism contributed so much to the community discussion.

I didn't realize I had to stay on topic when mocking people who post useless off topic bullshit.

florist35u9

I never made a judgement against seamar in all of Washington. I have had, as I keep saying, multiple bad experiences in vancouver.

You keep putting those words in my mouth and I'm getting tired of it.

florist35u9

What is this even in response to? It does not seem to contain anything relevant to what I wrote. I cannot understand your broken English.

It's really pathetic that you claim I'm the stupid one yet you cannot write a single coherent sentence and cannot come up with any insult more creative than the tired "snowflake"

florist35u9

The op asked for clinic recommendations in Vancouver. I said that I've had multiple bad experiences at seamar Vancouver clinics and would recommend choosing a different place.

You're taking this awfully personally.

florist35u9

I don't fucking care lol

I've got better things to do than argue with someone who thinks every platform is /r/vegan2.0

florist35u9

Five doctors at three clinics, actually. And countless friends and family that have had bad experiences at others.

Oh wait, I forgot this is Reddit. Because it didn't happen personally to u/16semesters, it never happens to anyone ever and I'm obviously making it all up.

Because we're all supposed to just lie and blow sunshine up everyone's asses when they ask for advice, right?

Fine. I can lie and make up bullshit too.

Go to seamar! You'll never have a bad experience! The staff are all robots that are never overworked or prejudiced! They will never turn you away at the door! The won't send you to the wrong clinic! They'll never fuck up your appointment time and blame you, or send you to a drug addict clinic when you ask for a mental health referral!

florist35u9

I'm really not sure what the point you're trying to make is. I've said repeatedly I don't have a problem with cyclists being temporarily on the sidewalk to dodge a hazard.

I have a problem with the ones who don't go back in the bike lane after the hazard has passed, and try to pretend that going "boo hoo the world isn't safe for cyclists" entitles them to spend their entire journey making the sidewalk less safe for pedestrians.

florist35u9

Are you a "I'm making an individual choice for my own personal health and sustainability" vegan or a "MEAT KILLS THE PLANET SO IM FEEDING MY CAT LETTUCE AND ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME DESERVES TO DIE" vegan? Because your reply makes you sound like the latter.

florist35u9

If we can't express our opinion here, then where?

Do we just keep getting driven off of every platform because we're so worried what breeders and their little fuck trophies think of us? This community isn't for them! Child free already got taken over by parents! Why the fuck do we have to concede yet another of our spaces to them?

If they get offended by seeing antinatalistic content after clicking a subreddit called antinatalism, that's their fault and I'm not going to police my tone to make them feel better.

florist35u9

Tone policing is censorship. I get enough of it irl. It's nothing more than a way to silence and shame people you disagree with.

florist35u9

I was under the impression this subreddit was about humans, not some vegan bullshit.

florist35u9

Those poor 3 kids are going to grow up traumatized and wondering why they were never good enough for Mommy and Daddy.

florist35u9

Yep, that's a thing. It's where "heartbreak" comes from. Caused by real intense emotions.

I also get it when my RSD flares (rejection sensitive dysphoria, an ADHD symptom)

florist35u9

Stay the fuck away from seamar. Incompetent, overworked people that will send you away with serious symptoms by saying "there's nothing we can do about that, just exercise more lmao don't let the door hit your ass on the way out."

I'm never more suicidal than immediately after attempting to get medical "help" from a seamar clinic... (And before you geniuses tell me to just switch doctors, please consider factors such as insurance and the time and energy you have to spend switching doctors AND the fact that I have a severe phobia because of the number of medical professionals that have abused me. Telling me "switch doctors" carries about the same connotations as "put your hand on a hot stove" and if I get one person telling me that stupid bullshit, I will react accordingly.)

florist35u9

I'm not sure what you don't understand about the statement "my family is all abusive fucknuggets so I'm not bringing another kid into the cycle of abuse."

florist35u9

I've run out of words today to add but I agree. and I want to say I appreciate your presence and the clear, concise way you deliver information. You really help me turn the vague "everything is fucked up and sucks" thoughts into more specific "everything is fucked up because of x y and z and x and y are out of my control but maybe someday I can work on z" which is a lot more helpful in my personal journey.

In this case, x and y are how fucked up the system is, and z is doing my own research and taking care of myself instead of continuing to believe that I could get care from a broken system.

florist35u9

The legal system does not even begin to consider that children might be able to make their own decisions until 18... My parents divorce, I was 17 and trying to say that I wanted to live with my mom and not have to interact with my abusive dad... The court tried so hard to claim that I wasn't capable of thinking for myself and that the only reason I was telling my dad to fuck off was because my mom had brainwashed me into it...

It was sad how overnight on my 18th birthday they switched from "you're too young to understand anything, you don't deserve luxuries that adults have, you don't have enough mental capacity to take care of yourself or ask for protection or have any rights" to "you're an adult, you're too old to be asking, you should be taking care of yourself, you don't deserve the luxuries, rights, and protections we offer minors."

florist35u9

My mom gave me a better life than her parents did. My grandparents did better than theirs. And so on. Every generation is abusive in a slightly different way and justifying it by saying "at least I'm not doing to you what my parents did to me."

I'm giving my kids a better life than any of them by not having them.

florist35u9

Which is still to the left of the Republicans. I'm not saying voting should be the only thing we do, but in practical terms, it's a pretty small investment of time and effort. And if the payoff of that investment is the government leaning a little more center right than far right, I'd say that's still worth doing.

It's better than not voting and letting the government status quo just... Exist.

florist35u9

The meds take the edge off the suicidal depression and crippling anxiety enough that I can actually work on healing the trauma.

While I agree that society does overinflate them, they can still be a useful tool in the recovery process. But they need to be viewed as just that, one tool among many, in the toolbox we use to construct our recovery. Not the end all cure all.
