Unlike a generic operating system that is easy to replace as400 is an integrated application platform. So while you can move Oracle workloads to Linux and switch off AIX, you can’t do it in general except for workloads like SAP.

Yes, T16 Gen 5 Intel very good at the thermals and battery life. P16 has a Nvidia GPU that can consume upwards of 100W on its own. I also aave a T16 Gen 4 with AMD CPU (350 Pro) and although the build quality of gen 4 is better, it gets warmer than the Intel version.

Have a look at T16 Gen 5 Intel, it is pretty good with most task without breaking a sweat with the X7 368H CPU. No need for the ulraheavy P16 unless you need a top of the line Nvidia GPU to boot.

Just joking, Its fine and depends a lot on your usecases, like if you plan to run VM.s and what not. Microsoft Office f ex complains about running out of memory, despite beeing 64 bit app, before I run out of actual RAM for some reason. So it may not improve your usability as much as 16 to 32.
