Don't Japanese feel "left behind" from the new wave of soft computing aka LLMs? I mean the AI trend in America is useful and China is on par with US. What do Japanese think of this?

The only Social Problem of Lisp i've encoubtered (from both sides) is the difficulty in communicating its power to people who haven't used it.

I don't like Rust's complexity at all but where are the lisp alternatives to ripgrep, Alacritty or Niri wm? That's question 1. Question 2 is, is it even possible to match their performance?

Thanks! I remember a masteringemacs article about it...

Does Emacs have the equivalent of C-i / C-o in vim to jump to previous/next locations of point?

C-u C-SPC moves back and forth between 2 locations and is not that useful compared to C-i/C-o

I'm just wondering about the question in post title. Also, recently I learnt that the Rust cross-platform GUI library, Iced, uses wgpu as its rendering backend. So in a way there is already a GUI toolkit that uses an implementation of WebGPU.

Do these apps provide a better optimization in terms of battery usage and preventing shut down of services?

ChatGPT is inaccurate for this.

Thoughts on NixOS?

You seem to suggest performance of 2d GUI apps does not differ much whether you are using web stack or interfacing with abstraction libraries over OpenGL/Vulkan. I doubt this.

Consider a simple form which contains text areas, buttons, highlighting on hovering and scrolling created in Electron. Now imagine the same thing in SDL like game menus. From my experience, the SDL implementation runs circles around web stack.

Have you tried excluding Emacs folder from Windows Defender scan list?

Anyone considering switching to Sway with release of Trixie? Been with i3wm for a few years, was wondering what popular X apps would break.

Good to know that Emacs/SBCL could run on it! Also, dark theme on an e-ink?

I know him due to his "Simple Made Easy" and a couple of other talks. I think he is among the few Lispers in modern times who have a strong presense in tech talks.

There are a lot of people who write blogs on Lisp but, correct me if I'm wrong, few who also do so in conferences.

Sorry if this post appeared inappropiate or cultish.
