T2 here. My A1C is 6.1. I eat whatever I want, but I'm mindful of portion size and how much I have in a week.

I'm well controlled with meds, and watch my meter, so that's part of it too.

So if we go to dinner, I'll have a dessert but I share it. I don't need to eat the whole thing, a few bites are fine. We don't go out often, so it's a treat. If I am at home on a normal day, I can have a cookie. I just don't eat the whole box. I have 1 or maybe 2 at most and I'm done. Same with candies. If I am in the mood for candy I have some, but I'm mindful of how much. I'll have a small handful of m&ms, or a piece or two of chocolate covered mango, or even a laffy taffy rope. I have birthday cake at parties, but it's a small piece. I watch the portions and I know what my body does when I have them.

I make sure I have some protein before and after to sandwich it, like a bit of a protein shake or a shrimp, and it seems to cushion the effect for me better.

Paternal lines:

my grandmother's family mostly immigrated from England on the Mayflower. They slowly made their way to Oregon. My grandfather's family immigrated from Norway in the 1850-60's. We know that his family were immigrant pioneers that went from New England to Oregon with covered wagons and the whole bit.

Maternal lines:

my grandfather's line immigrated from Ireland in the late 1800's. Possibly sooner, but my one g or gg grandfather was adopted from an orphanage and there is no information on him. The family shows info of arriving in the New England area, then ending up in Chicago. My grandmother's line has been here for thousands of years, her being half Cherokee and half Osage. Our people (Cherokee) were made to move on the Trail of Tears from the South to Oklahoma, where family members still live today.

My grandma ate that as long as I can remember. Plain popped corn, milk, and sweetener... sometimes sugar, sometimes maple syrup etc.

She said it was what she grew up eating as a little girl. Lots of kids in the family, not a lot of money, and it was filling and cheap.

frogz0r

Yes, I have. I was not impressed.

frogz0r

Not a badger. Badgers don't move that way, they shuffle more when they move.

Think it's a squirrel of sorts but I'm not sure of species.

Personally, I believe the PGF is real and genuine. But, I also believe that there was a suit made, and that it was done after the PGF was filmed. Roger was making a documentary, and I believe he was wanting more film of the creature for it, which is why the new footage looks like Patty, being female etc.

That's why we have Bob H or whoever it is swearing he was the man in the suit, cos he did wear "A" suit, and was filmed, but it wasn't him in Bluff Creek.

For me, the footprints and supplementary evidence give more credence to Patty being real and genuine.

This film, in my belief, is more of a money grab than anything else.

He is also hard of hearing, and is known to reply "yeah" to questions because he simply doesn't hear what's being asked.

I save the serial number etc on the bottom flap of the box, and peel the round sticker off the applicator in case I need to call. The flap I tear off the box, and clip to the fridge. The sticker goes on the calendar on the day it's applied.

My Leo the Lion still lives on my nightstand. He's been with me over 56 years now, traveled to many states, and several countries. He's missing an eye, the end of his tail is rubbed naked, and his whiskers are chewed, but he is loved.

I don't know the recipe, but a lady I knew long ago used to make cinnamon apple quickbread that had chopped apples in the bread, and a reduced apple butter type glaze on the top and it was incredible

frogz0r

Oh I do too. They are definitely an unusual acquired taste lol you either really like them or hate them with a passion.

frogz0r

Curry powder added to scrambled eggs!!

frogz0r

Lol he's eaten so much McDonald's that the preservatives are keeping him going past his sell by date...

frogz0r

Same.

I was rather aghast and confused till I realized the subreddit lol

frogz0r

Lol I throw a breaded chicken patty or a salmon burger in the air fryer and then throw some Chick-fil-A sauce on a bun with some lettuce.

8 minutes, wait for beep and there ya go.

I'm not Baptist, but was raised Lutheran. My mom made me and my brother go to church every Sunday for service and Sunday school until we had Communion.

After that, we never really went again. Tbh, I never really attended any religious service since I was 14, thinking about it.

After my mom's parents passed tho, she never went back to church. I'm not sure why cos she was so religious leaning till then.

frogz0r

Lol omg the memories....

I used Sun-In religiously as a teen. It reacted badly with our pool water one summer and my hair turned all sorts of unappealing colors, got brittle and generally it looked awful lol

But oh, when it worked it looked great.

frogz0r

Now I want ice cream....

frogz0r

Just extra protein.

frogz0r

The heated perches? They are supposed to be safe for all, but I have heard horror stories/urban legends about the perches getting too hot etc. I choose to not use them, and use the wall cage heater I linked.

Edit: I have conures, not cockatiels but I love the little derpy perch potato birbs that cockatiels tend to be

frogz0r

The golden oreos with lemon were really good ... I hope to find them again.

I grew up on Best Foods/Hellman's. Now, I use Dukes. Why? Honestly I don't know what it is about it but it tastes better to me for some reason.
