Ive had the XL7 for years. I think these are the most underrated and best rompler based grooveboxes. The default sound banks on all 3 models are great. The ease of use compared to the rm1x or mc505 is the main draw though. Everything is logically laid out in the deep menu. And everything is labeled how you expect it to be. No weird trying to reinvest the wheel or forcing obscure terms. The manual isnt needed, but if you do read it its actually well written by native English speakers.

There are more desirable hammonds besides the B3. The C3, A100 series, M3, and L series all have essentially the same sound generator architecture as the B3. The M3 for example is known as the baby B3. Its a smaller spinet organ, but it has the same tone wheels and tube amplifier as the full size B3. The A100 goes the other way, its a full size console organ with attached bench and pedals. But its the same as a B3 internally.
