I used to have to do classified materials training every year because I worked for the US federal government (doing unclassified weather stuff, but you still had to do training JUST IN CASE you ran into classified stuff) and this joke was in the official training materials

not sure. this program literally does nothing (it's just a UI!) so it must be false-flaging on the VB runtime itself, so presumably just everything that's written with visual basic is marked as a virus now

I got a job in 2008 and they were still using one of these with a barcode scanner attachment to organize the paper records. I had to fight them to get them to upgrade to a USB barcode scanner, since it wasn't like any of our computers had serial ports
