Well your sentence is structured in a pretty ambiguous way. Just like the weapons possession laws in Wisconsin.
gashal
Crossing state lines is not illegal lol. Also dubious at best that he obtained the weapon illegally, statute is unclear and the charge was dropped.
Dumb to put himself in that situation? I think yes. But unless the prosecution can prove he provoked an attack (which they have done a piss poor job of so far), it's pretty clear he did not do anything illegal. Stupid, yes. Illegal, no.
gashal
Are we watching the same trial?
gashal
Hmmm. To me this sounds like a poor man's version of "Can't Explain" by The Who. But to each his own.

Subbed but they gotta get a repost bot in there, like 5 of the top 15 posts are that chess holligan vid

Depends how the org is set up. Likely "the company" is responsible and liability insurance will cover damages.
Also IANAL so

In Massachusetts skateboard guy definitely would have been convicted if he ended up shooting that guy. Definitely varies state to state but in MA if you are escalating a situation and have a gun you are fucked.

Lol I know the normal Reddit behavior is to double/ triple down and start calling people Nazis but sometimes it's good to just be open and learn.
I mean shut up snow flake, I have a political science degree.

Well this isn't like tardiness or cutting class, sexual assault allegations are super serious. Idk why the schools would be handling them at all now that I think about it
Edit: Ah I see, that's the whole point of this story

"Now, under reworked federal rules, alleged student perpetrators will have added protections, including the presumption that they are innocent throughout the disciplinary process and the right to be provided all evidence collected against them. Those students can also cross-examine their accusers and vice versa during live hearings, although it must be done through a lawyer or representative."
Isn't this pretty normal and what you would want if you were accused of something? We're they presumed guilty before?
Not trolling and certainly not a fan of Betsy Davis but I actually don't see the problem here.

What did she do

Curiosity Stream and some Mack Weldon underwear. That's it I think
gashal
I actually bought some underwear from a podcast... I'm completely blanking on the name (ironically) but it wasn't MeUndies. They are okay, definitely better than the 5 pack Costco briefs I usually get, but probably not worth the money.
Edit: Mack Weldon was the brand
gashal
Brand awareness is important. I can tell you three different diaper brands and I've never purchased diapers. If/ when the time comes I need to buy diapers, I'm going Huggies. Thats marketing money well spent.
gashal
Man these ad placements are doing their job, I feel like I have a deep knowledge of all of these brands
gashal
Yeah he uses video game/ RPG terms like "spec"
gashal
I think you've been watching too much TierZoo.

Very good point, must not have thought he was a serious risk to society.

Well to play devils advocate, there's a whole lot of leaps in your analysis. Without knowing the actual facts it's hard to make a judgement.
You are probably right on the money, but for all we know this could be leniant.
Edit: also given the fact he was allowed to play the show in LA with the contingency that he would be on the straight and narrow, and he failed to go to court mandated alcohol treatment, I'm leaning more towards this is somewhat justified. Maybe 5 years is excessive but again it's hard to know without knowing the original crime.
Why did you mention crossing state lines then? That's a (now outdated) copy pasted reply from when it was (incorrectly) reported he brought an AR across state lines.
