I just opened a box and the printing on the blade is different. It used to have 1,2 on one side and a 3,4 on the other side. now there's a U on one side and a 4 on the other side. I've been using this same brand for 9 years, I've always bought on Amazon, they've always been under 10 bucks for a box of 100 blades. I bought these about 6 months ago and the shave doesn't feel right and the print on the blade is different.
I checked the amazon price today and it is $8.24 for 100. That's way cheaper than it should be given our current inflation rate. So that's why I'm here, did they cheap out on us and send their manufacturing to some low quality chop shop? What do you guys think?

it's impossible. anything you put on that material is going to darken it. i have seen one video where a guy had a pair of red wings that were over conditioned and super dark and he hit it with a blowtorch like very fast just passing over the leather quickly and it lightened the color maybe by heating off the oils? I have a pair of fudge stockmans that were beautiful for a couple of weeks but then i used them and now 3 years later they look all beat to hell which is fine but they sure were purdy for a little bit.
Oh here's an idea you can try conditioning them from the inside. if you go light on the conditioner it won't darken the leather but it will keep the leather from getting dried out. Try it on the tongue first so if you don't like the results they'll at least be hidden.

they only start striking so that they can announce peace a week later in order to manipulate the stock market

your knees are going to give out before that stitching does. don't worry about it.

i stopped using DD when i found out how they don't pay their drivers.
gerardgg
the soles on those boots will wear down to nothing and a couple more resoles before those stiches give out. if you are worried about it you can put some barge cement in there and use a clamp overnight and it will look like nothing happened

I think it's rude that DD doesn't pay it's people and that the drivers DEPEND on the tips for pay. that's a bs gig that our folks are getting roped into by this bs service economy. People please tip your drivers, they're working for peanuts. And I don't think it's rude that the driver is having to beg for money, they're on the ropes and we're the only ones that can help. If you don't want to work with or hear from "BROKE" people then don't use DD, but please don't think that they're in an OK position. That driver is barely making ends meet as it is, if they're annoying you then just ignore them, they don't need you judging them for the situation they're in.

get a condo with an extra room and rent it to traveling nurses who will be there for 3 or 4 months at a time so you can take on a renter but not have them there forever if you prefer to live alone. You'll be able to get back between 500 and 1000 per month. Save all of that money in a side account for home maintenance and to offset your additional housing expenses. you're single and have no kids. keep it that way you'll be alright.

there's no way to avoid burning your number if you're consistently dialing more than 60 times from one number. don't do this with your cell phone. you'll get a higher pickup rate with your cell phone but you'll burn your number.
I don't recommend any dialer. the three I've tried were garbage. If you go with GHL you'll spend 97 to 150 per month but you'll have all the numbers you need to do hundreds of single dial calls per day which was the only thing that I found that worked. You can get a google number or whatsapp number for nothing but I never tried those services.
Good luck out there.

you didn't teach your agent how to make a call last longer than a minute?
gerardgg
The best way to figure out your pick-up rate is the old school method. For every call you make a hash mark (with pen and paper) every 60 calls you swap your phone number (or suffer the consequences) for every pickup you make a second hash mark. At the end of your call session you divide your number of pickups by your number of calls and you'll get your pick-up rate. So if you made 100 phone calls and 10 people say hello then you have a 10% pick-up rate which would be excellent in any industry. DO NOT trust the bs numbers that come from your dialer, those are padded. DO NOT trust a vendor or IMO that promises better than a 4-5% pickup rate they're lying to you, demand to see the actual numbers and get reference clients before you spend any money.
Best pickup rate will be single dial from a cell phone. If you're getting lower than 4% pick-up rate your number has been burned, so just get rid of it and get a new number. If you dial fewer than 60 per day per phone number your number stands a better chance of not getting burned. TEST your numbers by calling yourself, your GF, your buddy BEFORE making any calls. If your number shows up as "Spam Likely" it has been burned so you need to get rid of it. A burned number will get less than 1-4% pickup rate and is a waste of time to use.
DO NOT believe Kixie, Call-Tools and WAVV marketing they're expensive and get terrible pick-up rates. CT charges like $4.00 a month per phone number and they show up BURNED. They're "spam likely from day one. I followed their phone number "warm up" protocol and it did not work total waste of time and money.
Best thing to do is to use GHL, you can just buy a bunch of numbers, see which one is not burned and keep those and discard the rest. If your IMO isn't teaching you this stuff consider changing IMO's or getting out of the business b/c these IMO's just throw spaghetti against a wall to see what sticks, and you're the spaghetti they don't care about you, believe that.
If you're in Final Expense, make the shift to a client base that HAS MONEY asap. Inflation is going to be worse in the coming year and the chargebacks are going to kill you unless your target market has the money to weather the storm. Anyone who says a 20% chargeback rate is normal is telling you the truth in a time of LOW inflation. In a time of high inflation you should expect 40% or more if your target market is low income.
Good luck out there.

Over the past 4 years I've bought 7 or so pairs. I won't go back to any other shoe company. I keep saying I don't need another pair then they come out with another model!

can someone post the link to the video here, it's blocked when i try to click it.

do you think they pick out all the "good ones" before they ship out these boxes?

looks like salt from the street. just saddle soap and polish like you normally would.

the pan shouldn't be wet with oil, just heat the pan take a stick of butter and wipe it across the pan real quick then rub it all off w/ a paper towel. it should look glossy NOT wet. your paper towel will come away black the first few times you do this. then put the pan away.
for this pan just cook some bacon in it and caramelize some onions. do this daily for a year or so and the pan will not look as bad. but my carbon steel pans have never gotten BLACK like my cast iron. I don't know why.
gerardgg
no. and stop scuffing your heels when you walk your boots will last longer. wait till the thread is worn through all the way around the front. you can get new heel lifts before you get a complete resole that should save you some money. it's not cheap to get a resole. I'm kind of bummed how soft the vibram soles are on these mini-lugs.

someone let their boots dry out....get a rope...

if you want purdy edges then hit them with 600 grit sand paper then 1000 grit they'll get majorly shiny then hit them with neutral wax polish and buff the crap out of them with a horsehair brush until they sparkle like you need them to. you can test this on the front side of your heel stack where no one will see the leather, if you don't like the results just knock it back with the 600 grit again and it will go back to looking normal like they do in your pics.

he's using a dialer that calls between 3 and 10 people at a time.
TBH publix is garbage and way overpriced. It's like a a store for people who don't want to see the poors during their shopping "experience". I went in there once and found it to be even more pretentious and expensive than Whole Foods. I didn't know that was possible. But the food is not "orders of magnitude" better than Whole Paycheck. I just hate that we have such shit food choices these days.
