Before the legendary green-dial SARB017 became a cult favorite, Seiko introduced its tougher, stealthier sibling — the SARB059.
While the SARB017 went on to become an icon, the SARB059 quietly flew under the radar. Long discontinued and increasingly difficult to find, it’s one of those overlooked Alpinists that deserves far more attention from collectors.
Featuring a beautiful dark dial, a rotating compass bezel, 200m water resistance, and the reliable 6R15 automatic movement, this is a proper adventure watch with unmistakable Seiko character.

🌄 Condition & Full Disclosure

The watch is in excellent overall cosmetic condition, with a beautifully preserved case, bezel, dial, and original stainless steel bracelet.

However, there is one imperfection I want to be completely transparent about:
There is a faint semicircular scratch/mark visible on the dial, just below the seconds hand. It is quite difficult to capture in photographs and becomes noticeable primarily under certain lighting conditions and viewing angles.
It does not significantly affect the overall appearance of the watch, but I want the next owner to be fully aware of it.
I’ve included 2 last photos showing the mark as clearly as possible.

Because of this imperfection, I’m offering the watch at a significantly reduced price of just $600 shipped.

Up for sale is this absolutely stunning Citizen NB1060-12L Silver Leaf Lacquer Dial, a Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) exclusive and, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful dress watches Citizen has ever produced.

The real star of the show is undoubtedly the deep blue silver leaf lacquer dial. The way it plays with light is simply mesmerizing, shifting between rich ocean blue and darker, almost midnight tones depending on the angle. The intricate silver leaf texture gives the dial an incredible sense of depth and character that pictures can hardly do justice to.

Beyond the dial, Citizen has done a fantastic job with the case finishing. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, it features a beautiful combination of polished and satin-brushed surfaces, further enhanced by Citizen’s proprietary Duratect coating for improved scratch resistance, similar in concept to Seiko’s Diashield.

At just 38.2mm, with a 46.5mm lug-to-lug, the proportions are pretty much spot-on for a classic dress watch. Elegant, understated, yet incredibly captivating on the wrist.

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this beauty.

The Grand Seiko SBGA419, an incredibly rare Isetan Shinjuku exclusive limited to just 40 pieces worldwide. Yes, only 40!

This particular example is No. 34/40, featuring a breathtaking deep midnight-blue dial with beautiful gold accents.

The way this dial plays with light is something else, shifting effortlessly between rich navy blue and mysterious midnight purple, depending on the angle and lighting.

And then there’s that striking neon-yellow seconds hand, adding a bold, unexpected pop of color against the dark dial. Watching it glide seamlessly across those beautiful shades is simply mesmerizing. It’s one of those dials that pictures just can’t do justice to.
